The left forced her out of the Governorship.

I bet they’re bitterly regretting doing that.

Yeah, but she is a “quitter”, not “ready” for the rigor of politics.

PDS mode off...

Apologies for the frivolous lawsuits scheduled to arrive in 3, 2, ... oh wait. Sarah Palin is the ultimate success story for the anti-American left. Anyone who rocks their applecart will get “the treatment”.

I used to be one of those who slammed Sarah for quitting....but this puts it much more into perspective, and frankly, I don’t blame her one bit for doing what she had to do.

God forever bless and protect Sarah Palin and her precious family from the likes of this intrusive evil that is the lamestream.
Thank you, Lord Jesus. She prevailed!

I think it is reflective of Palin’s solid, normal character that she and her husband undertook to pay the legal expenses by working to earn the money.

The alternative was defaulting on the legal bills, or finding wealthy individuals or political interests to sell her soul to.

She didn’t go looking for a Soros-type patron. Todd went to the slope and she went to the book-writing and speaking circuit.

It’s not political success, but it’s the way a good life is lived. I really respect that.

When you're under heavy fire, and almost out of ammunition, or money, you have to improvise.

In addition to thinking about the welfare of her family, Sarah realized she could do the country more good by leaving the Governorship and talking to the whole nation.

The speaking fees she got helped to pay all the legal bills that had piled up and for representation to twart all of the bogus lawsuits.

It was a smart move, and she left the state of Alaska in much better shape than she found it.

There has been a coordinated campaign by the Democrat Party and the MSM to destroy Sarah Palin ever since she got the VP nomination.

Many people on McCain's staff have helped in the process.

The people involved in the ethics complaints were a small group of Democrat operatives. The sources in most of the hit pieces on Sarah Palin use quotes from this small group of Democrat operatives.

Sarah has survived and prospered throughout this..She has done great. She was wonderful riding a Harley through DC. Her speech at CPAC was amazing. You could feel the electricity in the crowd. After her speech she was surrounded by fans who just wanted to talk to her, to get her autograph or to wish her well.

Sarah is a remarkable woman. The vicious attacks she has been subjected to would have broken many people. She has an inner strength that can only come from a deep spirituality and a humble willingness to do God's will.

When I worked on our school newspaper, we learned to put the most important and relevant facts at the top, and then work down from there.

You know you are reading a propaganda rag when they deliberately reverse that order, under a deceptive headline.

Because most people just read the headline and the first few paragraphs, and then figure that it’s not worth reading the rest, because they’ve got the story.

Notice that if you read paragraphs 5-7, they are the ones that reveal what the email in question said, and they are the ones that reveal why Sarah decided to step down.

Frivolous lawsuits were costing the state millions, and frivolous lawsuits were bankrupting the Palins. And clearly that was exactly the purpose of those lawsuits.

That, of course, is the real story. It’s like the recall election in Minnesota, which is costing the state millions, to satisfy the agenda of the Communists and the Union Bosses.

Sarah resigned because she had done the things she was most concerned about, and would leave a good Republican governor in her place. She resigned to spare the state more wasteful expenses, to spare her husband the need to work hard to pay these unfair debts, and to escape inevitable bankruptcy.

But you have to read paragraphs 5-7 to understand that. AP trusts that most readers will simply go by the headline, “I can’t take it any more,” and the lead-in. “I can’t take it any more” refers to the looming bankruptcy and the useless expenses to the state, not to some sort of cowardice, as most readers would assume.

Not to mention the attempted murder by arson of her fellow members at the Wasilla Bible Church as Obama`s operatives left town.

If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

In a sense I can’t blame her. But if this was enough to drive her to quit, she was in no way prepared to become President.

In an alternate universe somewhere, Sarah Palin became the first woman President of the United States, and America became a much stronger, safer, and more prosperous nation because of it.

This doesn’t surprise me. They were after her from the beginning, even before she became the VP nominee, and especially after.

I’ve never seen a public figure be treated as awfully as Sarah Palin by the establishment. They carved out new lows to try to ruin her, including the suggestion that she faked a pregnancy.

If she were a liberal woman and had aborted her Downs baby Trig, she would be heralded as a hero and celebrated as the model of a strong woman by the left. Disney would make an Erin Brokovich type movie about her.

The 'press' couldn't find Chicago on a map - or the address of Bill Ayers in Hyde Park. So they went the easy route - all showed up in Wasilla Alaska...hub of the modern world. And for stories on corruption? The most corrupt city in the country is in Chicago - Wasilla being the least - and where do they look? You got it! Wasilla.

Oh that's NOT it? It could be liberal hatred and bias against conservatives? Kind of like the reason they covered for the creep John Edwards? And the woman killer - Kennedy - and the sexual harasser of young employees/interns - Clinton?

And yet, places like the New York Times and Washington Post wonder why they've lost credibility.

Playing favorites is obvious to all of us - - well, except the journalists... who couldn't find their noses if they wasn't attached ( or if they were conservative noses)

It doesn’t matter what Sarah Palin did or didn’t do. The media/enteratainment industry was and still is spitting mad that she lives and breathes. The LAST thing our masters want is to have Sarah Palin wake up the American spirit of freedom and individual liberty. They can not have that.

Sarah Palin could have sent emails saying that nothing they were doing was bothering her and they would have said she was too stupid to know when to quit.

They HATE her. They literally HATE her with every fiber of their ugly beings. She was and is a threat to their precious baby BamBam. And they of the (stop the bullying) campaigns will bully and belittle her and the Americans who think like her in order to destroy our constitution once and for all.

What happens if a Presidential candidate dies or must withdraw for some reason during a campaign? Does the spouse step in as has been done sometimes when a Senator dies while in office? That seems absurd. Or, does the VP candidate suddenly become the candidate? Or is there any sort of guideline for it at all? Just trying to think of any scenario that theoretically leads to a really great leader due to twists of fate.

I've always thought she did the right thing. And I think she made the right choice not running for president for basically the same reasons.

The left cannot let a woman and/or black Republican get elected president under any circumstances, and will destroy any who try... and not just politically. They'll go after their friends and family with a viciousness never before seen.

1: What new public emails? Inquiring minds want to know.

2: “She expressed anger at having to pay for her own defense, with a bill that at that point totaled more than $500,000.” Who among us could afford that?

3: This explanation is pretty much what she stated in her resignation speech, but some did want to listen.

4: If this the state of politics in this nation now, lord help us.
