The field is set.
Tony Stewart won the first Duel under caution and Matt Kenseth took the checkered in a caution-free second event to set the lineup for Sunday's Daytona 500.

Who will ride a lucky airstream to Victory Lane on Sunday?
Will the field get Smoke'd again?

Keep an eye on young Ricky Stenhouse Jr, (#6). This will be his 1st Daytona 500 and only his 2nd start in Sprint Cup.
I like the guys that came out of a sprint car background. Looks like 7 in this years field; Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Kasey kahne, Ricky Stenhouse, Dave Blaney and JJ Yeley.

Lets boogity
Can’t wait! A milestone of the year!
Even with a fairly mild Winter it’s a promise the Good of the Year is near!
Now what to cook for the family this year. We’ve done sliders, meat on a stick, jambalaya, gumbo....need something new...
BTW mrs p6 is still going with Jeff Gordon...sigh. If he finishes higher than whomever I go with...Stewart?....I owe her...big, LOL!
Look at the empty seats. How the mighty have fallen.
Let’s go Jack’s boys: Cousin Carl, Matty, & the Bif!
Missed the twins due to riding herd on grandchildren twins.
Replays looked like they raced pretty good.
Sprint and midget is the perfect training ground because you’ve got a severely overpowered car without aerodynamic download. I’ve watched all those guys you named run midgets at Indianapolis Raceway Park (aka Lucas Oil Raceway) on the 5/8s oval and they have my total respect.

Wow I forgot about shortening the race for the “energy crisis” back in the 70s.
I remember politicians clamoring to halt auto racing and Big Bill France pointed out that one weekend of NFL football uses more fuel for charter jet travel than a whole SEASON of racing.
I don’t see how that will help me with my league picks this weekend but thanks for the memories...
How about trying a Fattie?

If the weather turns cold here in NW GA this weekend...this country boy is hoping to take some rabbits and make some fresh rabbit n dumplins.
