Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND Action and the South Central L.A. Tea Party (SCLA TP) released a statement rebuking GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum and Rev. Franklin Graham -- two leading Christian figures -- for their timid response when questioned about President Barack Obama's radical interpretation of Christian tenets. He cited Santorum's recent backpedaling after he faced some controversy for questioning Obama's "phony theology;" and Rev. Graham's refusal to answer truthfully when asked on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" whether he believes the president is a Christian. Graham said he doesn't know whether Obama is a Christian. However, Graham did say that there was "no question" that Santorum and Gingrich are men of faith. The following is Rev. Peterson's statement on this issue:
"I am certain without a doubt that Barack Hussein Obama is NOT a Christian. It's unfortunate that Rev. Graham and Rick Santorum won't be completely honest about Barack Obama even though his deeds are contrary to Christian values.
"Both these men oppose Obama's recent contraceptive mandate and assault on the Christian conscience. They know that for 20 years Obama worshipped in Rev. Jeremiah Wright's racist Black Liberation Theology-based church. They fully grasp the spiritual connection America has with Israel and see that Obama is no friend of the Jewish State. Rev. Graham has said that Obama is more concerned with the plight of Muslims than the Christians that are being murdered in the Muslim countries. Still these Christian leaders cannot tell the truth about Obama. Why?
"I do agree with Santorum that this is a 'spiritual war' and that 'Satan is targeting the U.S.' which is precisely why I believe Barack Obama was selected and elected. I'm convinced that the weak-kneed timidity that's preventing many white conservative Christians from pointing out Obama's wickedness is a result of their fear of being labeled 'racist.'
"Evil understands that most white Christians have been intimidated and are too afraid to stand up to it. Especially when it is operating in the form of an American hating Socialist black president who appears to be more in harmony with Muhammad than he is with Christ."

I play for another team, but do any actual practicing Christians believe that Black Liberation Theology represents Jesus rather than Marx? Help me understand this.
I’m with you..but what other team is there? Just curious...
No. And anyone who does, does not know God.
Actually satan himself knows God all to well, he just chooses to do battle with Him. Sadly he has many helpers both knowing and un-knowing.
Jesse Lee telling it like it is—oh, for some courageous, overt, even hostile, opposition from our so-called leaders on the right.
Yes I long for it...The bibe go to guy on Jesse’s radio show reminded us of the the story of Daniel today. Speaking of courageous as we should be speaking. Also isn’t there a story of the Macabees whose 7 sons die in hideous ways rather than eat pork. (Im mot a bible expert but maybe they were in the Lost Books of the Bible).
Mankind has been in spiritual warfare since the fall of Adam and Eve.
We know that Mormon religious leader, Bishop Mitt Romney is not a Christian, but we don’t know that about Obama, how is someone supposed to be sure of that and make a firm statement of it as fact?
How many Christians do you know who defend abortion, even late-term abortion?
I don’t know of any, and would present this fact in a debate.
They should define Obama as a Christian so often that Obama melts. Once Obama has been defined as a Christian then he is ripe to be torn down for his non-Christian deeds(by surrogates).
No, Rev. Peterson, that’s an argument for YOU to make outside Rick’s campaign. This is something in which he would be foolish to become bogged down. Bob
The DNC platform is nothing but splinters held together with crazy glue and our tax dollars. Find the right solvent and the problem goes away.
I’m not aware of a formal ruling on that. Obama can still be welcomed into Protestant churches as a Christian, and we all know of people like Pelosi or Ted Kennedy. The majority of Catholics vote for the abortion party, and a sizable percentage of Protestants do, most women do of course, are we to tell them that is wrong and not Christian, or are we to tell them that they are not Christians at all, and be certain in our pronouncement?
He is a huge advocate of abortion. You can’t be a christian and be for abortion. He celebrat3es all muslim holidays and takes a pass on christian holidays. It so obvious. Rev graham knew Obama is not a christian but he did not want to be called a racist..that is Jesse’s point.
Not foolish at all...that is the problem. We have become manipulating instead of standing for something. Obviously Americans are sick of politicians We loved that ‘spiritual warfare speech’. We just wish he was as resolute during all the campaign.
I can’t speak for Rev. Peterson, but I don’t need a baptismal certificate or church record to know someone is a christian. You know by his fruits...abortions, support of gays. The DNC is evil in my humble opinion...:)
We all have our feelings and strong, strong doubts about Obama’s, or Ted Kennedy’s, or Pelosi’s claimed Christianity, but Bishop Romney is the only one that we can say with certainty is not a Christian.
Graham says that he is uncertain about Obama, as we all are, but Graham was more clear on Bishop Romney.
