I’ve been leading a group of middle-schoolers in some projects on critical analysis, one of which is world hunger. What kept coming up in everything we found on the subject was that people are vulnerable to drought, natural disasters, etc where they don’t have good, stable employment so they can buy food from another area if their own is hit with a crisis. The best food insurance for people globally is to be within an economy that imports and exports, and has jobs for people within that economy.
And the same kinds of government that keep there from being a vibrant importing and exporting economy with jobs for all are the kinds of government that will let grain rot undistributed even if they get aid from more prosperous countries, or that will constantly be at war either internally or externally.
It is very literally a situation where those who have will be given more and those who don’t have, even what they have will be taken away from them.
The model that Obama’s environmental-leftist friends want us to follow would not support the kind of prosperity we have. If they can make gasoline too expensive for goods to be transported around the country, for example, then even people within our own country will lose the food insurance we have because a drought in one area would bring hunger there. At the same time, more and more fertile land is kept from being used to produce food, and the places where food can be grown are being saddled with environmental prohibitions against the technology that has allowed us to be so productive. At the same time, charging farmers for cows farting will drive the producers out of business so even the land that is productive may sit fallow for want of an owner to use it.
So what the Obama Administration is doing, basically, is turning us into a third-world country where starvation is a real possibility because the productivity and infrastructure that has kept us prosperous is being deliberately killed by a government that thinks like third-world governments think.
To get us from prosperity to poverty they had to take the money from a lot of middle-class people and put it in the hands of very rich people and then make the US inhospitable to business so those rich people would take their money somewhere else. Exactly what Obama has done.
And then they had to saddle large taxes, stifling regulations, and high transportation costs on the producers here. Which they have done.
The whole thing is eerily systematic.
At the same time, they have to get rid of all rivals to the government being the “god” who provides. Forcing Christian care-giving organizations to perform abortions will ultimately get them to close their doors rather than commit what they believe to be murder. That will create a vacuum that only the government can fill, which we will end up being taxed for. So that moves us from charitable giving providing excellent healthcare opportunities to taxation forcing us to pay for healthcare that really doesn’t care about the health of women or the sanctity of human life. It will make us poor and sick, but it will increase the size and power of government and demoralize the people - which are key ingredients for a communist takeover.
Again, incredibly ruthless and systematic destruction of what makes us prosperous and free. The communists know what has made America so abundant and they are destroying those things with alarming speed and ease.
But then, you can do that when you threaten the media with annihilation of media companies and/or death to media personalities who report what goes against your agenda, and that is what George Soros and this puppet administration have done. That’s the most important fact that will be censored out of the news in the coming weeks.

You are demonstrating that we owe it to ourselves and our loved ones to try to avoid normalcy bias - assuming that everything will continue to be just as it has been. Here are a few more puzzle pieces, along with a question or two.
Obama’s ties to Bill Ayers may go back to New York City thirty years ago. In the 1970s, Ayers and the Weather Underground plotted how to take over the US government. According to Larry Grathwohl (http://larry101st.blogspot.com/), an FBI agent who infiltrated the Underground in the 1970s, Ayers and company envisioned that the takeover would need to kill 25 million Americans who were beyond re-education. Ayers has had forty years to refine this plan and, conceivably, groom Obama to play a key role as a Trojan Horse.
According to a March 30, 2011 report by Kenneth Schortgen (http://www.examiner.com/finance-examiner-in-national/george-soros-making-a-move-to-control-food-and-grain-production), “Financier and progressive activist George Soros is formulating a move to control food and grain production by purchasing grain elevators in late March in several parts of the United States through his Soros Management Fund’s backed Gavilon Grain. With purchases made in March, Gavilon Grain will become the third largest grain company behind Cargill, and Archer-Daniels Midland.” These actions line up precisely with your hypothesis about making us more vulnerable to food shortages. In addition to the long-term effects of control over food supply and distribution, it could also be useful in the short term to snuff out an uprising of armed citizens. Removing access to water or electricity or introducing pandemic are other conceivable techniques.
The picture you paint indicates a very detailed systematic analysis and attack of the weaknesses of our government and society. The Executive branch of the government appears to have been captured, while the Legislative and Judicial branches have been co-opted, perhaps by personal or national blackmail as you describe. The traditional Media are completely in the tank for Obama, perhaps by a combination of natural inclination and threat.
What I wonder and worry about is the state of our Military, to whom we owe so much. Removal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, imposition of ridiculous rules of engagement, introduction of Islam education programs (such as how to handle a Koran), and US-China military exchanges are troubling signs. Have our military leaders also been co-opted? What about the lower ranks? Do they recognize the threat that our nation faces and will they be able to respond?
