This article shows how Paul is working to get Romney the nomination.

They attempted to call into question these issues...too bad Santorum successfully battered their attempts to distort the truth. Santorum dismantled Ron and Romney tonight.
Romney/Rand Paul 2012 is probably the plan.
This is a campaign ad.
The Washington Compost just donated $20,000 to the Romney 2012 presidential campaign.
"Taking one for the team" by voting for Planned Parenthood didn't go down so well. Made Bush look like an a--hole though. And his story about Specter still doesn't hold water. He just sold out on that one.
So the liberal and the loon are questioning Santorum.......it’s like a bad movie script.
Plus his son said he would accept Romney’s VP position. They are DEFINITELY working together.
Now that is funny! Romney and Paul calling someone else out on “conservatism”?
Romney the bold-faced, pro-choice, healthcare mandate RINO that is far closer to Obama than even Juan McCain... yeah - real Conservative creds.
Or Ron Paul who is an isolationist, 9-11 Truther, friend of racist hate groups, who’s strongest “selling” point is that he is tops in military donations. Guess who is his nearest “competitor” in that regard... Obama. I believe Paul’s total is just North of $90K. Obama’s total is a bit more than $70K...
The reality - we have no “Conservatives” left on the Republican ballot. What we have are decreasing levels of pseudo-conservatism. Santorum is the most consistent - but he is very far from a perfect candidate (and pretty far from even a “desirable” candidate). But his old statement being used against him about Satan having his eyes set on this country was dead-on accurate.
Romney is so far Left of even moderate, in my view that I just cannot bring myself to vote for him. He is worse than McCain.
And Ron Paul - If he could somehow be in a position to do something about the monetary system/the Fed, then he would be in a good position. As President, I believe he is every bit as dangerous as Obama.
Did not surprise me that Paul & Romney ganged up on Santorum. But it was strange that Gingrich did not come to Santorum’s defense. He actually was laughing through it all...and his one word answer matched his mood.
Their tag-teaming of Rick may impress the Washington P@ss but it won’t conservatives.
Every notice that when the social issue comes up, Paul clams up? I cant recall what he has said on the issue. But that leaves him a half-way conservative.
Romney has clearly promised Ron Paul Chairman Ben Bernake’s job...
It was a great evening, I loved it.
Look for Saint Ricky’s polls to start to tank.
President Newt Gingrich—”Our beloved republic deserves nothing less.”
The Romney-Paul campaign could not be more obvious could it? and do you think the WashPost might be a little biased against the more conservative candidates?
Just a smidge?
In the debate Paul was Romney’s hand puppet. Paul was Romney’s attack dog.

Maybe; but, I doubt it. Let’s face it. Rick imploded last night. Just like Newt did after he became the front runner coming out of SC. Rick just wasn’t ready for Prime Time as the front runner. As much as I hate to admit it; RINO-Rom was just smarter than him and mopped the floor with him over his voting record. He had Rick explaining why he voted for what he really didn’t like or believe in: Earmarks, Arlen Specter, No Child Left Behind, etc. RINO-Rom just outsmarted the boy. Now, the only hope we have is that Newt will rise again. If not......... Hell, I’ll consider a Third Party. If the GOP could not give us a better slate of candidates than we’ve had this year; then to hell with the Republican Party. Let Obozo have four more years to finish destroying this nation, and, if we’re still around in four years, maybe the GOP will be older and wiser. Nah... I doubt it. Obozo should have been easy-pickings for defeat and once again, the GOP has pulled defeat from the jaws of victory.
Buff gov and psycho sidekick corner wonky weakling, kick sand o’er him. Life’s a beach.
Nothing has changed for me. I’m still root’n for Newton.:)
They could really not care any less, nor understand any less, the truth that for capitalism to succeed for any extended length of time religious principles of morality must reign and be protected.
It is much like the Tea Party failure...which could have been a long-lasting success story. One cannot claim to be “principled” (i.e. moral) while denying the importance of and the existence of the one and only foundation for true morality (Judeo-Christian principles).
Secularism, regardless of whether it is on the right or left, fails to protect and fails to prosper, for any real length of time.
I watched the debate and I do not buy the media conclusion about those who performed the best.
Again, the star of the show was the moderator who intentionally stirred attacks against candidates with “flame questions” such as the “fake” question to Ron Paul.
For the most part, Santorum did as well as anyone for the major part of the debate EXCEPT for the omnibus bill questions.
Gingrich did well on every question and was not touched at all by anyone.
Romney answered his questions well EXCEPT for the Romneycare questions really get him visibly flustered. There is a huge dishonesty about the man regarding conservatism, and every time he pretends it I see his actual past rather than his rewritten past. The most telling dishonesty was signaled by Gingrich’s “are you kidding” look at Romney and then Gingrich reemphasizing his point about Romney’s deceit by quoting an article written on the issue.
Paul always seems hesitant every time he answers anything. It might just be a voice quirk. I also sense a basic dishonesty about his responses such as getting troops off the Pakistan border and putting them on the US border.
Gingrich was the best.
Santorum has to better explain why an omnibus bill with some evil mixed with some good and a lot of average in it must be supported. There needs to be a clincher argument on that one, and not just a passable answer.
Romney is an unrepentant liar, but a good one.
Paul’s quavering voice hides something wrong, but I’m not sure if it’s a touch of uncertainty about is positions or a touch of instability.
But, I saw no knockout blows yesterday at all.
Romney has successfully called his own conservatism into question, for many years now.
All it comes down to is an effort by the GOP-e to take out another conservative.
