Don’t forget “frankly” and “candidly.” ;)

I've avoided attaching myself too strongly to any one candidate because I've been watching primaries play out for 40 years and have seen too many people get way too caught up in euphoria over any one candidate.

Sooo...that's no skin off your nose, just goes with any race and part of the enjoyment derived from observing and participating with the candidates in the race. You pick your guy and root him on, as well as defend and exhort him. Passion for a candidate and what he stands for is pretty much the American way in our elections...and that's a good thing.

Ricks had the disctinction of wearing his faith on his sleeve but his presentation is very judgemental of other faiths as well as the unchurched. This just evidences he's not groomed enough to draw any more than those as himself, but offending those not. It's been a bad move on his part as Carter did the same thing and we know how that turned out. ...he won but was a disaster for our country.

Perhaps you NEED to pick a candidate and really get passionate about your guy...win or loose it's a race to the finish for our country and many are taking it seriously and why the passions are so high...and should be...there's much at stack.

“NEWT..... CAN’T..... WIN, PERIOD. It’s finis for him.”

Saint Ricky just doesn’t have what it takes.

Newt can win, he should win and he will win.

President Newt Gingrich—”Our beloved republic deserves nothing less.”

I think the major problem with him is that the MSM is aiming its guns at him, including the so-called "conservative" part of the MSM - Drudge and Fox News were both dragging up anything they can find to hurt Santorum. It was not a coincidence that Drudge was dragging up speeches Santorum gave a few years ago.

Perhaps you NEED to pick a candidate and really get passionate about your guy...win or loose it's a race to the finish for our country and many are taking it seriously and why the passions are so high...and should be...there's much at stack.

I want anybody but Romney and RuPaul to win the primary, and in that regard I will be passionate about whoever wins as long as it's not RuPaul or Romney. I could even be passionate about Santorum if he wins, even if I have my doubts about him in the general election (cue the attacks from Santorum supporters ;-) ).

A large percentage of women will never forgive him for cheating on two wives.

Wrong...they believe Newt has made his peace with God about that and Newt's candidness has won many over. If they took the time to investigate further they might very well understand this wasn't just a matter of cheating on his wifes. His first wife would have been thrown into jail if she attempted her actions toward Newt today.

One thing about Newt in that regard. He did marry the woman which evidences this was not about a man seeking extra martial affiars.

So NO woman are not holding this against Newt....on the contrary they too have forgiven him.

I also think he would indeed chew up Santorum..not because he’s such a great speaker but that Santorum gets his feathers ruffled easily and then looses his train of thought and babbles on and on....Obama knows how to find his opositions weak points and play on them....Chicago style...or raise the media to drive it home.

Of course, Obama can’t bring a teleprompter to the debates so that pretty much neuters his ability to be effective in them.

Sorry, but Obama’s hemming and hawing and stammering and uttering “uh” and “um” every third word would in no way win him a debate against Santorum. I know you’re not a Santorum fan, but I have great confidence he could wipe the floor against Obama in a debate.

It’s one meme after another. None of it quantifiable or verifiable...just ‘common knowledge”...EVERYONE knows it’s ‘true’ but no one can back it up.

Obama is a skilled debater

Women hate newt

Not an ounce difference between them - both made up from hearsy and liberal PR firms.

And even in the conservative sphere, people buy and repeat it...which the libs quote and the meme becomes even more ‘true’.

Simple propaganda 101.

Think this is part of the “war” that Breitbart declared at CPAC?

That's right!..I forgot about that. Might very well be and with that if they join up could be very effective. It'll be interesting to watch as this election moves forward. I do think the media is getting it that people are fed up...they just don't know how to handle it when they are backed up against a wall except to dish out the same oh crap. ..and their investors will see to it that they do as they say.

Women like you (and my wife)..and the two i pinged

give me hope when I'm feeling a wee negative 'bout wimmins

women who cheat with married men get little sympathy from married women...been my experience

in my mom's old social circle of older married dames...that is what hey were trust me...God love em...they discovered one of their pals who they went to theater and parties and galas with had been in a 2 decade affair with a married man...when he killed himself...and let me tell you...they ditched her like she was a porn gang bang queen

even though by then most of them like my mom were widows and had nothing to fear...principle was principle then

you break up marriages ...you ain;t riding up front with the ladies to the Duck Ball

Newt is maneuvering and playing his game....do not underestimate the man's ability to move this race favorable for his time and place again...he moved an entire congress with a Democrat President...he can maneuver in an election and is doing just that.

Totally agree.

“Cain hated Perry BAD. Tried to pin that whole “Naggerhead BS” on him, and it worked.”

Having been a really big Herman supporter (I liked Perry and Newt a lot as well), I think Cain was just ill-advised and spoke prematurely (which, unfortunately, happened a few other times).

But how interesting that now - regardless - both Herman AND Rick endorse and actively support Newt.

Newt is fasinating to watch in this Primary. People think they know what’s happening and then Newt makes his move when he thinks it’s time for it....or doesn’t make any moves but let’s the players play. He’s one shrewd operator and not to be underestimated by how the media might depict him or others in this race. Those who know Newt understand what he’s doing...and they watch for his next move.
