Remember, it did not appear in any translation of Vattel prior to 1797.

"Parlez-vous français?" or "Ne vous lire le français?" as many of the Founding Fathers did?

While that should "shut down" your argument I doubt it will.

Time to get back in touch with reality. Except for birthers, there is no controversy. No one is talking about it because no one cares. You are like that 911 Truthers as far as the public, both liberal and conservative, is concerned. Just another internet fringe group.

Doesn’t the deafening silence from both liberals and conservatives give you a hint that no one cares about this?

I especially liked the part about beehives.

You may ask but I will not answer. I have given you all the personal information I am comfortable giving in a forum like this.

Odd, then, that the same men and states seemed to have used the term interchangeably...

Till 1791. You know, till just shortly after the Constitution was ratified.

"the new Constitutional government began March 4, 1789."

Perhaps you would like to tell me the basis of a commonly understood meaning of the legal term “natural born citizen” prior to 1787. Remember, it did not appear in any translation of Vattel prior to 1797. Indeed, someone following Vattel would have used the term native, or indigene - as Vattel did.

Sure it did. It appeared in the translation which the founders wrote into article II. You do remember, most of the founders spoke and wrote French. They didn't need translations to read "Droit des Gens."

Apart from that, I don't know how you can allege such a thing. There were English translations as early as 1760. Am I to believe that you have looked at all of them?

I noticed in one 1760 edition they used the term "natives" which as you and I both know, was used interchangeably with "natural born citizen." Potato PoTAHto.

“normal conservatives”? You mean all those conservatives that refuse to give birthers the time of day?

Lets remember that is not only liberals that reject your arguments.

The only silence I hear is from the left and that does tell me something as I postulated earlier...

Kind of gives one an idea of what they think of it...they don't even try to defend them as they know how poor such decisions are.

So you and FR are not worthy of the attention of the first string? They feel so little of you that a pimply college freshman is adequate to keep you in check? LOL!

Through out Medieval times, catapults and related siege machines were the first weapons used for biological warfare. The carcasses of diseased animals and those who had perished from the Black Death or other diseases were loaded onto the catapult and then thrown over the castle's walls to infect those barricaded inside. There are other recorded instances of large numbers of beehives being catapulted over castle walls.

If you are suggesting that a few Judges need to be catapulted over some castle walls, i'm hip to that. :)

Surely just naming the company won't hurt anything.
Otherwise I'm going to assume that what you've written about yourself is nothing more than a lie and you've already proven yourself to be a liar.

Yeah, yeah, I know...I can believe anything I want...even that you're an "alien".

You have shown yourself to be petty, mean spirited and immature. Only a fool would give you personal information. I have no doubt the first thing you would do is write my company trying to get me in trouble.

And why do you think for a second that your opinion means anything to me?

“Till 1791. You know, till just shortly after the Constitution was ratified.”

We’re concerned with what the ratifiers thought in 1787, not what you think in 2012.

“There were English translations as early as 1760. Am I to believe that you have looked at all of them?

I noticed in one 1760 edition they used the term “natives” which as you and I both know, was used interchangeably with “natural born citizen.”

They have been looked at, and found wanting. Sorry, charlie.

And if natives is interchangeable with NBC, why do birthers maintain a native citizen is born in the US of non-citizen parents, and a NBC is one born to citizen parents?

It is particularly odd, since Vattel never used the French equivalent of NBC (”sujets naturel”), and since the word translated NBC in 1797 was “indigenes” - which is also an English word, needing no translation.

“normal conservatives”? You mean all those conservatives that refuse to give birthers the time of day?

If you mean that the talkers and party officials find the issue uncomfortable and wish people would quit discussing it, then I will point out that they are motivated by very different impulses than what is the truth and what is in the best interest of the Nation.

Actually, strike that last part. They probably feel that it is more beneficial to ignore or spike the issue than through scrutiny provoke riots.

It actually reminds me of Abraham Lincoln. By any non-involved objective standard, the man did tyrannical things. He Suspended Habeas Corpus, Arrested the Maryland State legislature, Grabbed newly arrived Irish off the ships and sent them to die in the South. He ended up starting a war that cost the lives of 600,000 people, He explicitly refuted the principle of the American Declaration of Independence, and devastated the South so badly that it has still not fully recovered. Much of our current Federal overreach is traceable back to Lincoln's acts during the Civil War.

He is a Hero, because to think otherwise is too horrible of a thought to contemplate. For the same Reason, most people MUST believe Barack is legitimate, because to think otherwise is too horrible of a thought to contemplate.

Lets remember that is not only liberals that reject your arguments.

As I've pointed out, George Will and Ann Coulter do not reject our arguments. As a matter of fact, they both MAKE our very arguments themselves! They are simply unaware that their reasoning is exactly the same as that of those people whom they demean as "birthers."

Ann Coulter and George Will are not birthers. If asked, I am certain they would say Obama is eligible. They have certainly not said that Obama is not eligible.

You are merely twisting two of their columns on illegal immigrants to suit your agenda. You are being dishonest.

Mosquitos come in all shapes and sizes. You types make up for in volume what you lack in reasoning ability. Given your level of profundity, I think I give you too much credit assuming you are even a college democrat, but lunacy/idiocy runs deep among that group so perhaps you are just typical for them.

BTW - Here is how the French translate the Constitution & NBC back into French:

” Nul ne pourra être élu président s’il n’est citoyen de naissance, ou s’il n’est citoyen des États-Unis au moment de l’adoption de la présente Constitution...”

“citoyen de naissance”

Not, “Les Naturels ou indigènes...”

To everybody or just somebody?

Only a fool would give you personal information.
How is giving the company you work for giving up personal information? If you were, for example, a GE employee you could say so and not divulge any personal information whatsoever. A better excuse seems warranted.

I have no doubt the first thing you would do is write my company trying to get me in trouble.
How could I do that when I don't even know your real name? A better excuse seems warranted.

And why do you think for a second that your opinion means anything to me?
That's just it, I know, not think, my opinion means nothing to you. Nobody's opinions mean anything to you and they're all wrong no matter the issue.
You've exhibited that most sufficiently and efficiently since your arrival.

Are you trying to "color the issue"? LOL

Have you ever considered that Obama considers the birthers an assets? If I was on the DNC, I would be posting here as a birther.
