I remember $.19/9 per gallon at a Piester-Derby station in Southern Iowa in the early 60s. Over the line in Missouri, it was $.17/9.

I remember $0.15 per gallon in the early 70s in northeastern Oklahoma. Gas wars were frequent and common. That ended about 1973 when prices started a stead rising.

Gas was .299 in 1970 and my 50cc motorcycle held 1 gallon. A quarter filled it up and got me around all week.
