Donald Trump demonstrated Monday that he has no qualms about going after one of Mitt Romneys chief rivals, Rick Santorum.
Theres nothing theres no gift, no Christmas gift, that could be given better than Rick Santorum to the Democrats, Trump said in a radio interview which aired in Michigan. Democrats, he continued, are just salivating at that. And, you know, I dont think they believe its going to happen. But boy, would they like it to happen because that would be an easy election.

Editor-Surveyor, you have more or less made the case that Santorum has outed himself. But if I bring up the fact that Palin did the same thing, you get upset about it. Why?
Is it going to make my case more strong if I call you an outed SDS troll now?
What satisfaction is there going to be, if everyone who disagrees with you gets kicked off this forum? Has that type of thing created an environment where Newt has fluorished, and won the nomination?
What we have is a situation where our leading candidate has a target on his back around here. Is that healthy? Palin has decided not to run, and yet she is afforded more respect than the current guy that appears able to block Romney from being elected.
Is that productive?
I’ve demonstrated that you’ve outed yourself.
Santorum = Romney = establishment rule.
I'll assume you're a good decent human being and that was a genuine, no agenda question.
No, I'm not for Romney. I was for Palin first, Gingrich second...even before his FIRST comeback. After that it was Perry...Cain. Never Bachman or Santorum as I think both would endeavor to increase the power of the state...same as Obama, just different.
I'm a 9th and 10th Amendment (c)onservative/(l)ibertarian that doesn't want the Federal Government telling me what's good or bad.
The states already suck at it. Shouldn't make a bad thing worse.
You have tried to establish that Santorum is Romney, but then he really isn’t. So who have you outed?
You floated a list of things Santorum had done that when I checked it out, I found that:
1. He voted not to cut the Endowment for the Arts funding over fourteen years ago. We don’t know what his take on it is today.
2. An unverifiable fact was claimed, but the link to the bill involved didn’t pertain to the charge made against Santorum.
3. A falsehood was floated that mischaracterized Santorum’s actions in the extreme.
After noting these problems with the report, I opted not to waste more time on it.
Now you’re almost hysterical in response. Get a grip.
Are you aware that Jim Robinson stated he will be okay with either Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum winning the nomination?
Are you saying he has outed himself, because he included Rick Santorum as someone he could support?
I have a grip, you do not.
You are in childish denial. Santorum’s record is so solidly establishment that he actually beats out Romney on that score.
Then perhaps you can explain this:
I dont have any problem with Santorum. Just think Newt is more experienced and a stronger leader. I like what Newt did in the 80s and 90s and I like his current plans for gutting the out of control federal government. Gutting is what we need.

If Romney is the guy, will you vote for him?
Indy Pendance
No, I will not vote for that lying, abortionist/socialist paperhanging SOB.

Sorry, there is no difference between Obama and Mitt Romney. Mitts lying about his recent conversion to pro-life conservatism and hes still bragging about his socialist RomneyCare program today, and he and his National Healthcare Czar, Pam Bondi, are going to try to get similar programs installed in all 50 states. Sorry but government forced healthcare is not my idea of Liberty!!
Romney be damned. Full steam ahead with Newt!!

I have no way of knowing if Jim still thinks along these lines, but I have seen no evidence he has changed his mind.
Are you saying that Jim is in childish denial concerning Rick Santorum? I don’t believe that he is.
I don’t for a second believe that Jim thinks, “Santorums record is so solidly establishment that he actually beats out Romney on that score.” If he did, I don’t believe he would state that he didn’t have any problem with Rick Santorum.
I honestly disagree that you have a grip on reality here.
Newt would be better by far than Romney and Santorum.
Santorum’s voting record is a bout what I would expect from Mark K irk.
Anyone that has been listening to Rush this AM is now well aware that my prediction has come true: Ari Fleisher, and Ed Gilespie (both high GOP establishment) have let the cat out of the bag; the GOP establishment is backing away from Romney, and switching to Santorum.
It has been obvious to me that the two were interchangable for a year.
Sorry, I missed you on post 90:

Thanks I guess...
In 1999 Newt Gingrich was informed that the Republicans in the House would not support him for re-election as Speaker. Newt resigned the Speakership, and left the House of Representatives.
It doesn’t really surprise me that the party views Newt in an unfavorable light, but I am not convinced it’s because Santorum is most like Romney.
Newt has his own set of problems, and a lot of folks don’t want to face them. That’s fine by me. I’m not going to live my life with my head in the sand when it comes to Newt.
I looked at the report you posted on the forum in the last day or so. Some of it is factual. A fair amount of it isn’t. Some of it was severely skewed to make Santorum look terrible, when his actions were entirely reasoned.
I disagree with some things Santorum has done. I find it interesting and disappointing what he did fifteen to eighteen years ago, but I’m not convinced of its relevance now.
Romney is a no-go for me. Newt is someone I could hold my nose and vote for. Santorum is someone I’m not completely sold on, but I do currently prefer him to the others.
I do not gauge my political beliefs by what Rush thinks. I do not gauge me political beliefs by what the RNC thinks. I do not gauge my political beliefs on what people post on the forum that is non-factual, and focused to destroy someone based on what they did a decade and a half ago.
If someone goes out and makes appearances with Leftists supporting their globalist agenda in the current time frame, I’m going to take note of it.
I am not convinced that Newt is who folks think he is. I would like to view him as others do, but it just doesn’t compute with what I already know about him.
LOL
Just because two party hacks are backing a winner doesn't mean he is one of them. Santorum was the only one to effectively begin Milts drop in the polls by aggressively nailing him on Romneycare starting in the last debate.
Santorum eviscerates Romney over RomneyCare » The Right Scoop
Newt was never able to destroy Milt like this.
I see “Lazlo in PA,” consider the source, and shrug.
Trump is a joke. He and his two clones look like idiots on that stupid Has-Been Apprentice show.
Heck, Romney couldn’t even win that!
Trump tries to excuse his donations to left wing idiots by saying “I do business in their state” like he thinks you have to pay off politicians to get a business license.
Only a TOTAL MORON thinks the free market truly works that way. He isn’t donating them so they’ll grease the wheels for him, he donates to them so they’ll attack his competitors.
Trump couldn’t win on his own stupid TV show. Seriously, what kind of total retard watches that crap?
Your observation here is a non-sequitur. Everyone and their grandmother likes to back a winning horse. Before long, even Karl Rove will fall into line. That’s how politics works, plain and simple. No need for predictions on how things normally work out. Apparently Gingrich has seen the light of day himself and is not campaigning in MI. Should Santorum pull off an upset in MI this will be a seismic moment that would generate non-stop buzz from the commentariat and the political class. His momentum will turn into a tsunami wave on Super-Tuesday carrying OH, TX and possibly GA as well. Romney will be out. Mission Accomplished. We’ll finally have a decent and conservative candidate with Faith, Family, Country, and God -all that Free Republic stands for. Most of all, he’s almost tied with Obama in the recent Gallup Poll.
Nonsequitur to you Ricky hacks makes perfect sense to everyone else.
Talk, talk, talk.
