This lot of GOP candidates have so destroyed each other during the Primary process, I don't think any of them could beat Obozo now; for real. I'd be happy with a Brokered Convention but it ain't happening. The last time the GOP had a BC was in 1940 when they nominated Wendell Wilkie who got crushed by FDR.

Mitch Daniels, Paul Ryan or Chris Christie. This guy is not serious. He left out the most prominent name - Sarah Palin.

The biggest danger of a BC was listed as #4 in the article:

A brokered convention could be exhilarating IMHO: (a) keeps the attention on Republicans who will be hammering Obama; (b) avoids Obama’s ability to focus on one candidate early; (c) avoids the stale, dangerous months between an early end to a nomination fight and Tampa; (d) offers most likely opportunity for Gingrich / Palin; and (e) assures that the nominee won’t be Romney.

One good thing....it would be the most exciting convention in just about anyone’s memory....so if they could capitalize on that excitement it might sweep them right into the White House.
Still risky, though.

The funds raised in these FReepathons go to pay our current quarter expenses. But we're also going to try to replace some of our older servers and failing equipment this year so we're going to add a little extra to our FReepathon goals. John is estimating ten to fifteen thousand to do this and I'd like to get it all in place and working before the election cycle is fully heated up, so we'll try to bring in a little extra now, if we can, and the rest next quarter.

What I would like to see happen-I would want Newt and Palin to team up and begin campaigning steady like now-noone could stop these 2 reformers-the lefty media, the party bosses, no payoff back room deals, could stop this team- we would by pass any GOP trickery at a brokered convention because if it goes there, I would image the RNC will have already picked candidates that we, conservatives, will have no say in. If Palin, does not do this soon, then onto a brokered convention, so Newt still has a chance, since he has been in the battle. If Palin waits too long, I suggest it's possible that the base will be fractured in long term. Voters are already getting a sense in which their voices are not being heard/nor respected/so that sense of giving up or too numb to care any further is setting in over time. I know Palin can make a positive difference(only to campaign-if she doesn't want to enter the race) She is holding back her cards-if she doesn't help Newt soon, she will have a difficult chance at the convention where as the party has the control. In a race, she and Newt have the control. Newt deserves the presidency. The others are doing anything to have it. Surely, the woman sees this as well.

I have yet to be convinced the PROUD GOP Establishment considers the Obama administration a threat to this nation. The ‘TEA PARTY’ worked hard and returned the power of the House of Representative back. And the UNIVERSAL Obama care still got its funding. Now this nation is reduced to begging for permission to NOT be required to fund ‘birth control’ by some religious organizations.
I am not so sure any longer the PROUD GOP Establishment cares one whit if the middle class survives. Hey, PROUD-GOP, spending nearly 18 million dollars to lie and distort an opponents life and record is just too Obama like to get ignored. The liberals are going to clean your 1% clock.

A gun fight with a home invader could be dangerous for the family, but that is no reason for your wife and daughters to carry all the family valuables out to the front porch and then strip down for the unwelcome intruder.
A brokered convention could be dangerous for the GOP, but that is no reason for conservatives to settle for a big government leftist like Romney.
I would prefer to see Newt take 51% of the delegates in the primary process. I would settle for Rick Santorum taking 51% of the delegates, and I'm not a big Santorum fan, he's just tolerable. Failing either of those options, my next choice is a brokered convention, and even though my first choice candidate is not running, I can imagine the excitement if they allow her to speak at her second convention. It's quite possible that everyone in the room, except the big government liberals pledged to Romney, would coalesce around her.

Yep, a brokered convention where the GOP Elites lose control of the party to the rank and file.
Pretty risky...for the GOP Elites, Ann Coulter, Karl Rove, et al.

A “brokered” convention is total BS. The candidate who deserves the nomination is one that puts himself out there and does the hard work. The thought that an [untested] “White Knight” can come out of nowhere and have it handed to him on a silver platter is anathema to me.
I always thought Gingrich was unelectable on the national level—nominating him would be worse than McCain (which was a disaster). Romney, who I initially supported, has turned out to be a very weak candidate. The more I watch Santorum, the more I think he is underrated. A lot of people say he would get torn apart in the GE. I’m not so sure anymore.
Whoever we field will have a tough time with Obama. As in 2008, the MSM will go pedal-to-the-metal to support him and the bureaucratic apparatus will do its best to paint the Economy as either recovering or recovered. That and most voters are just plain stupid.

It could be dangerous for RINOs.
The worst that could happen from a conservative standpoint is we get the same RINO they have been trying to shove down our throats all along.
And we could wind up with she whose name must not be spoken.

A brokered convention is NOT what we want - because none of the candidate "brokers" are trustworthy.
My presumption is that Obama will crush Romney OR Santorum, that Paul won't be nominated under any circumstances, and that, although Newt could beat Obama his actual flaws will bring him down before November.
So...
What we need is a deadlocked convention, where the delegates (who are the people who should be picking the nominee anyway) have to hammer it out.
