Even if the people you talk to don’t care now, if you give them factual information, they may remember in the future and start to care. I used to be a very hardcore leftist. People can and do change. And many states in the midwest, south and west are not as liberal as the east coast (thank GOD!).
I remember around the mid 2000s. 2005 or 2006, I had analog cable on my kitchen TV and a Saturday Morning I was flipping the channels and came across MTV with what looked like a dating game. It was so strange my curiosity got the best of me, it turns out it was the dating game with all guys. Each guy took his turn with the one guy to try to get his favor. After lots of disgusting prancing around the male winner kisses the male contestant on the mouth. This was on about noon Saturday morning ~ 2006.
Now you wonder why young adults thinks gays are a repressed minority. This is what they were watching as teens.
I watched Jonny Quest as a kid on Saturday morning and there were no fing homos on that show.
