Used to be issues like this, high unemployment & slow economic growth, perceived weakness internationally, all facets of this current administration, were enough to doom any president to one term.
Yet I keep hearing how he's skyrocketing in the polls. Go figger.

Energy prices are going up, but not because of demand. Energy usage is actually going down.
To: Kaslin
They want prices to go up. First, in service to their Saudi masters. Second, in order to make non-existent “alternative” fuels that their friends are invested in look more economical. And third, to make non-existent public transportation look more viable and to train people to want it.
And fourth, because kids just can’t refrain from turning dials and poking at buttons. They believe they ought to have control over the price of fuel and they are going to exercise it, whether or not to everyone’s detriment, just because they think they ought to have the right to do it.
Anything that increases their control over people is a good thing in their eyes.

He admits it to himself...he has said that it is part of his "green" plan.
His people don't drive long distances...they take the subway, the ell, or the bus.

He can argue all he wants to about how good the economy is getting but with gas at $4 to $5 a gallon people are going to be pissed and I certainly hope the Republicans are smart enough to high light his “Green Energy Policy”.
To: Kaslin
I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:
"Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal] levels in Europe." - Barack Obama's Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???

Energy prices will necessarily skyrocket, but what Mr. Soetoro does not realize is they will be skyrocketing up his wazoo aperture.

The higher the price of gasoline, the less likely Obama is to win reelection.

Yet I keep hearing how he's skyrocketing in the polls. Go figger. I figger it's 'cause the MSM isn't wringing their hands, freakin' about the horror, and lamenting in dramatic acts of great anguish.
But not to worry - when a Republican's President even a ten cent increase in gas prices will be a call for panic. And unemployment? If it's above 6% when we're in office - the press will run with stories about 'the homeless' and suffering citizens - and 'don't we care'? They'll run with it - and run with it - and run with it - daily!

The GOP needed a strategy to deal with leftwing media bias 40 years ago.
When will they ever pull their heads out of their arses?
