Our Government has OWNED the Cartels since they Created them.

I think you have that backwards - the cartels appear to own the government.

It's a symbiotic relationship. Government creates jobs for itself by declaring a war on drugs, thus hyperinflating drug profits and eliminating law-abiding competition for the cartels - and the cartels give bribe money to officials and behave badly enough to provide a rationalization for continuing the war on drugs.

Defund the cartels and the corrupt officials - relegalize drugs!

You are correct, it is symbiotic.

The cartels win, the politicians win, the government wins - free americans get bent.

Feds tracked him from SC, lost him in Houston and put out an APB to south Texas LEO’s. Stopped him for speeding(you betcha), leo ask permision to search, refused, an K-9 unit alerts to trunk.Money confiscated and man goes to jail. No wonder we don’t want to stop drugs coming into this country, the local governments are making as much as the drug dealers are!

Could you post to the sources of that info? I can't find it via Google.

Probably just ‘walking around money’ for a vote fixer.

Back in LBJ’s day, the Democrat machine could herd voters to the polls after a bar-b-q and beer rally for $1.00 per vote.

By the 70s it had gone up to $5.00.

Looks like the price has gone up—or this guy has some odd investments
