A brokered convention will almost guarantee an establishment type gets the nomination. The rumor is that if it does go to a brokered convention the establishment will rally behind Jeb Bush.

That's ok if the Republican Party Reptiles want to play that game in their check pants, lamp shades and watery martini's that's cool, I'll write in Palin. They can destroy themselves at their own accord, I will not stop it. We can rebuild or build anew afterwards.

FWIW, that may come to bite them in the arse, if the Establishment really wants that, if Sarah's name gets thrown in the hat during a brokered convention.

If push comes to shove, I will vote for Romney. If Jeb Bush is picked in brokered convention I will not vote for him.

1) Jeb Bush will not get the nomination in a brokered convention. I’m convinced this idea is being floated to scare people about the possibility of a brokered convention (we better get behind Romney, or we’ll end up with another Bush). The fact is, he-double-toothpicks will freeze over before another Bush gets the nomination.

2) Even if a GOP insider ends up with the nomination in a brokered convention, there is still one redeeming quality: it won’t be Romney. The fact that, for the first time, we prevented the GOP establishment from shoving their choice down the throats of the base will be a ground-shattering victory in and of itself.

What’s going on this cycle is more than just a nominating process. It’s a battle for control of the party. A battle between the old-guard, establishment GOP power-brokers, and the base/tea-party.

I could get behind Jeb. In fact I would have preferred Jeb over Dubya in 2000.

Romney? I would find it extremely difficult, even against Obama. I would probably end up voting third party.
