February 13, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Gov. Christine Gregoire of Washington State has signed into law a gay “marriage” bill that will force church-owned facilities to accommodate homosexual ceremonies.
Gregoire, a lame-duck Democrat governor who proposed the bill earlier this year, celebrated the end of defining marriage as between a man and a woman as she signed the bill on Monday.
“I’m proud our same-sex couples will no longer be treated as separate but equal,” she said.
The bill makes Washington the sixth U.S. state to redefine marriage, in addition to the District of Columbia.

Local religious leaders have been particularly alarmed about the bill because it will force facilities owned by churches that are regularly used for marriages to be offered to homosexual couples.
The bill text states that religious organizations that provide accommodations, facilities, advantages, privileges, services, or goods related to the solemnization or celebration of a marriage to the public must offer all those goods for use to homosexual couples seeking marriage or else face a penalty for discrimination.
Evangelical Pastor Joseph Fuiten last month said that the bill’s “discrimination” language puts “virtually every church in Washington” under legal threat should they abide by the teachings of their faith on the nature of marriage.
They already have equality but that is not what they actually want. They want to force the church to accept homosexuality,” said Fuiten. Washington State in 2009 passed an everything but marriage domestic partner bill granting marriage benefits to homosexual couples.
The bill is expected to take effect no earlier than June.
The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) has vowed to initiate a referendum effort to bring the new law before voters to decide on the ballot.
“NOM will not stand by and let activist politicians redefine marriage, the bedrock of civilization, without voters having a say,” said NOM president Brian Brown on Jan 23. “Just as we mounted a People’s Veto in Maine and were responsible for qualifying Proposition 8 to the ballot in California, we will make sure that voters in Washington have the ability to decide the definition of marriage for themselves.”
Apparently you missed the following thread, earlier today. This is from last week's CPAC meeting. One of the guest speakers, Daniel Hannan, is a conservative member of the British Parliament. Read his words
If you repeat our mistakes, if you shift power from the 50 states to Washington, from the elected representative to the federal czar, from the citizen to the state, we know exactly what lies in store for you. I've been a member of the European parliament for 12 years. I am living in your future, or at least the future towards which your present leaders seem intent on taking you. And believe me, my friends, you are not going to enjoy it.European health care, European day care, European college education, European nuclear disarmament, European carbon taxes, the whole package. And I'll tell you, when you adopt those things, you don't just become like any other country. You become less prosperous, less independent, less Democratic, and less free. We are at the end of the road that you have just set out along. We're screeching towards the cliff, and a couple of us, a very small number of us in the parliaments of Europe are trying desperately to jam the brakes on while there is still time. And you know what? We look up and what do we see in our rearview mirror, we see you trying to overtake us, accelerating frantically in the direction that we have been going in. My friends, there is still time to turn aside.
Let me end with a heartfelt imprecation from a British conservative who loves his country, to American conservatives who still believe in theirs. Honor the vision of your founders, cleave to the most sublime Constitution devised by human intelligence. Don't be the generation that cuts itself off from the wisdom of your fathers and disinherits your children. Never be afraid to speak to and for the soul of this nation, of which by good fortune and God's grace you are privileged to be a part. God bless you, my friends, God bless America, and God bless the alliance of the free English speaking nations. Thank you.

My friend, if Obama is re-elected, you can bank on the fact that gay marriage, despite what the Constitution currently says, will be the law in EVERY state, including yours.
The people who came up with this one definitely knew what they were doing.
Prime example of why civil unions (defined here as “everything but marriage”) aren’t good enough for the homosexual activists. After they got civil unions, they immediately went to a “separate but equal” argument as to why even civil unions aren’t enough.
It strikes me that the preference shown for the made-up claims of “gay rights” over the traditional rights of religious institutions is a far more serious threat to our religious liberties than the contraceptive mandate. I wish the Catholic bishops had chosen this hill to die on.
Yep. Just a few years ago the mantra was “We want civil unions” and some states gave them “civil unions”. Now it is NO WE really meant MARRIAGE. And the Democrats and Judiciary are hell bent on giving them marriage. Do not forget the MSM is all pushing this. The culture embrasses it. I mean almost every TV show has to obligatory gay or lesbian character and I mean they are soooo cute and happy. Unfortunately, the younger generation is all for it. It is the result of culture, education and parents fault. Religion in this country is wide and superficial. Kinda like the knowledge of history.
Now what?
A man and sheep — separate but equal
A man and his sheep — separate but equal
This law rolled through the legislature without religious protections because most churches in the state aren’t worth a darn. It’s one of the most secular states in the country.

Making it crystal clear that one of the main aims of the "gay" agenda is to destroy Natural Law, religion, the natural family, and the very fabric of society.
Now we mount an initiative effort to do what the dhimmicrats are afraid of - allow the people to speak. Once we win that and enjoin the state from enacting the measure it will go to the state supreme court (who will probably rule against us).
we already know how the 9th circus will rule if it gets that far.
Basically we’re screwed...
So wedding dress or accoutrements stores, caterers, musicians who play at receptions, wedding photographers, bed and breakfasts and so on have to serve perverts as though they were a married or soon to be married couple. Probably a lot more entities.
Perhaps we will have to distinguish between secular marriage, or government marriage, and biblical Christian marriage.
That would be very accurate, and therefore, really get under the skins of the homosexuals and homosexualists.
As well as liberty counsel and the ACLJ, and mountain states legal foundation.
It seems to be reaching the point where if God doesn’t damn America, He’ll need to apologize to Sodom & Gomorrah. It breaks my heart. If you had predicted this in 1990, I simply would not have believed such perversion could ever win acceptance in America.
This is part of why I won’t rent out part of my house. In theory we could do it with a few minor changes to the structure, but I wouldn’t be able to refuse a homosexual couple from living under my roof.
The intelligent people on our side have been warning about this for a long time. The moment this law is in force, a same-sex couple can walk into their local Catholic/Orthodox/Baptist church / Orthodox Synagogue and demand to be married there, and when they're refused it's off to the Attorney General to sue these religions out of existence. We have been warning and warning and warning about this, and our liberal friends mock these concerns as "ridiculous" and "unfounded."
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So belief in God & the Biblical account of creation is not science, but belief in Darwin and the hoax of evolution is science? The whole premise of Darwinism is a complete sham & bogus science. Somewhere, somehow, at some point billions of years ago, something happened, and therefore our universe came into existance? And then another series of trillions of evolutionary changes occurred somewhere, somehow, someplace, and now we have a complex, highly evolved planet & hundreds of thousands of highly complex life forms? There would have to be evidence & fossil records of trillions of transitional life forms, and so far evolutionists can't find a single transitional life form, ie half reptile/half mammal or half bird, etc. Evolution is a bogus science, just as same-sex marriage is a bogus, abominable form of marriage.
How the new “marriage” vows should begin:”Queerly beloved, we are gathered together with the approval of Satan and in this company of weirdos to jon together in unholy deadlock these two perverts..”
