Security forces loyal to President Bashar Assad have been using chemical weapons against Syrian rebels, under the supervision of Iranian and Russian experts, a defecting Syrian officer charged Monday.
The officer, Captain Abd al-Salam Ahmed Abdul Razek, who served in Syrian's chemical warfare administration, told al-Arabiya that the Syrian military used nerve gas – banned by various international conventions – in order to assist forces in their raid on the restive city of Homs.

Syria has been producing chemical weapons since 1973, has one of the most advanced chemical weapons program in the world.
Sarin, mustard gas, VX, you name it.

The Muslim Brotherhood will someday use chemical weapons. It’s a lose/lose situation for us. The best thing we can do is refuse to send anymore money to Islamic nations, and let them settle their own problems.

Assad’s father used gas in Homs a few decades ago, and killed about 10,000 people putting down a revolt.

When a group of bloodthirsty, radical Islamists announces to the world that they intend to brutally slaughter a dictator’s wife and children as the Syrian rebels did, they should no be surprised when said dictator uses whatever means are necessary to prevent them doing so.
