While positive ratings for Congress remain at an all-time low, more voters than ever see the Republican agenda in Congress as extreme.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 35% of Likely Voters say it would be more accurate to describe the agenda of Republicans in Congress as mainstream, while 52% feel extreme is a more accurate description. Thirteen percent (13%) are not sure.

I’d be interested to see what these polled people would say if asked
“What is the GOP agenda?”

Exact wording of the question.

4* Would it be more accurate to describe the agenda of Republicans in Congress as mainstream or extreme?

If asked to describe that agenda, who could do it? This question is about what percent of the people have bought the Democrat and MSM spin.

“IMHO, it feeds off the laziness of the people.”

I think that’s one component.

For people my age, it’s tradition. Mom and Dad got their news from ABCNBCCBS, so many my age do too. I remember, as a young adult, I never imagined there could be bias in the news, or how devastating it could be.

Then, there is the socialist indoctrination done by the public schools. Anyone under 40 is totally accepting, even desirous of a socialist system.

America as I once knew it is dead. What we’re living through is the death throes of a once proud nation.

Obama's re-election is a virtual certainty.

Quoting the brilliant Richard Fernandez (Belmont Club), "Obama is ultimately unimportant. It is not because he is President that the crisis has come. On the contrary, it is because the crisis has come that he is the President."

It has not been demonstrated, anywhere in the world since 1945, that an elected Legislature will cut public spending in a meaningful way. It does not matter what they say, nor does it matter what the voters say they want.

Spending goes up because it must. Limiting taxes did not work, because they can borrow. Limiting borrowing does not work (in the US) because they can print - and now, they don't even have to print, it's just a few keystrokes to the next trillion.

The poor Republicans have no clue about who or what they are dealing with. And if they did, there's not a damn thing they can do about it.

The failure of the two Reagan terms to limit the monster meant they the die was cast. The seeds of communism have been sewn, and Obama is here to reap.

God help us all.

Sadly, you're spot on.

As for these respondents, they’d be hard-pressed to come up with any specifics about what exactly makes the GOPers in Congress “extreme.”

But it doesn’t matter... the sheeple have been herded leftward.. again. They are told to think in a way befitting the rulers, therefore they obey.

And some still consider America a “center-right” country.

I’d say the GOP in Congress has an extremely non-existant agenda.

I think they’re chaotic and always reacting.

But, that’s just me.

Two words make this a rather ominous finding:

“Speaker Pelosi.”

The Republicans in the House have done a pretty good job but no one knows. They RNC and Congress itself needs to keep the public informed. The information actually before the public is biased and false or misleading, at best.

“Extreme” = subversive. And as Orwell famously said, during times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.

Your idea that the influence and power if the MSM is dying, is flawed. The opposite is true. The older image of it has changed and it may appear to you, to be dying, but in reality, it has merely gone deeper into the subconscious of Brain Dead America.

Every time you hit the “ON” button on your i-phone, i-pad, computer or TV, you are being bombarded by disinformation and propaganda. The MSM has merely grown more clever and in some ways, much bigger and far more dangerous than ever before.

BS 80% of Americans could not, if you asked them, name the Chief Justice of the United States. How else could Hussein have been elected president if the electorate were not ignorant

Well that explains it, no? This is about perception -- or even less, like the ability to regurgitate spoonfed opinions. Garbage in, garbage out. It's getting worse all the time.

This is why conservatives need to win the WH above all. The President is the only elected position with enough visibility to demonstrate that when Harry Reid uses the word “extreme”, it isn't a magic word that refutes all brain function from the point of invocation.

To those who are buying this Bull Shite poll, all i have to say is: LAY OFF THE CRACK PIPE!

So what Obama and the Dems are doing is NOT radical, but the GOP congress is radical?

I say again, if you're buying this poll, lay off the crack.

“And some still consider America a “center-right” country.”

Many do here at FR, but it’s simply wishful thinking.

The MSM and the hard left does, because they’re so far left, that middle America looks to be center right.

Reality, America is center left, and drifting.
