What does it mean if Obama has ‘’a very deep belief’’ in something yet is perfectly willing to compromise that belief within less than a week of public opposition? It means he’s completely driven by political expediency.

Unfortunately for Obama, the Catholic Church also has deeply-held beliefs which 2000 years of existence have proven it is not willing to compromise. Not to mention the deeply-held beliefs of the radical feminists whom Obama pretended to support with his original policy yet has now stabbed in the back for the sake of his selfish political interests. And then there are the insurance companies whose deeply-held belief in making a profit does not allow them to give away their products for free.

He hasn’t compromised anything and he hasn’t stabbed the feminists in the back at all. He’s given them even more than they got the first time around, because now this will be forced on everyone in a way that can’t even be separated off from the policy they are forced to buy, and also everyone will end up paying for it.

He also mentioned earlier when this was being discussed that the government would pay part of the costs, possibly through Planned Parenthood which would distribute the contraceptives, although I haven’t heard him say that again. Maybe he tipped his hand too early and his advisors told him to shut his mouth for a bit and just work on defeating the bishops first.

Ooops, sorry for the Triple Reply! FR is quite wonky today and I was actually trying to back out of my post without posting it at all...and instead I posted it 3 times. I didn’t really think it was all that important, honest!
