LOS ANGELES - Whitney Houston, who ruled as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.

Oh dear! There goes the news cycle...just when a whole lot of serious effluent around the world is about the hit the air conditioning!
I just checked VH1 and MTV and they have absolutely nothing about it.
Horrible news. Prayers to her family. Not necessarily a total surprise but horrible just the same.
But the much scorned Fox News did and does and is having a show about her right now!
Yeah but the fatal crash was on Wilshire/LaPeer(Where the Audi dealership is, know that place well I am about 8 blocks away) from what Im hearing Whitney Houston was found dead in her room at the Beverly Hilton hotel so there is no connection between the two incidents
What a shame. RIP, Whitney.
Very true. Silly me, I thought those networks would report news of this nature.
Sad. A powerful counterpoint to the celebration of excess and sin that will be on display at the Grammys.
RIP, Whitney.
A tragic loss of a lovely talent.
SAD! RIP!!
I fell in love with her voice!
No one, and mean NO ONE, will ever sing the National Anthem as good as she did at the Super Bowl in ‘91! Just absolutely beautiful version!
She coulda stumbled home
When I first saw her back in the ‘80s I thought she was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. Way too young and way too bad
.
FNC jumped on this immediately -
.
I guess there is no dignity even in death. Repulsive that you would post this photo.
We don’t know yet if it was drug related but she ruined herself over drugs.
I think this is such a shame on so many levels after years of loving her voice. And that National Anthem at the start of the Gulf War at the Super Bowl (1991?)ranks the best ever sang by anyone.
She had it all and threw it all away. Listening to her trying to sing after her comeback last year was just painful. She threw it all away for drugs.
Drug use, as some say, is a victimless crime .... probably need to inform the victims ... both the users and everyone around them!
Actually, CNN was on it for a least a half hour before FNC even mentioned it.
