I saw all the candidate speeches, although I turned the sound off when Willard was speaking (he looked like he was in panic mode). Santorum’s speech was demonstrative of sharp contrast vs. the pastel platitudes of the other choices. Newt’s...more empty promises that did nothing but put me to sleep. The mono-tone professor was not the least bit inspiring and will throw everything out there to win over the gullible and easily duped.

Wow. I don’t know. I’ve never heard Newt give a “monotone” speech. I remember during the whole “Drill here, drill now” thing he had the nation on fire. I saw him live as a speaker at a state political convention and he electrified the place.

OTH, I kept wondering how he balanced that position against his earlier pandering for lack of a better word (sorry Gingrich people) on global warming.

Santorum has been steady and the same for all these years. I like him and I will support him as long as he is in the race. I wouldn’t early on because I thought he was too boring and I have always held his Specter endorsement against him a bit. I have since seen that he can deliver and heard him explain the Specter endorsement thing adequately.

Santorum is the man. He WILL be the next president if this trend continues. (IMHO)

I doubt you would think that Jim Robinson is gullible or easily duped now would you? Here's his take on Newt.

Newt is a pro-life Reagan Revolution conservative who led the Republican Revolution of the 90’s, taking the majority away from the democrats who had held it for 40 years. And as Speaker, cut the taxes, cut the government, cut the spending, cut the deficit, cut regulations, cut unemployment, brought the federal budget under control for four years running.

And unlike Romney, actually blocked a socialist healthcare system from becoming law. And created a pro-growth, pro-free market, pro-jobs environment and extended the Reagan economy throughout the 90’s!!

Newt is the ideal candidate to lead the Tea Party Revolution!!

Newt plans to go to a 15% personal flat tax after deductions and a 12.5% corporate tax and eliminate the capital gains taxes altogether. He wants to privatize social security and medicare and eliminate the payroll tax.

And he wants to neuter the EPA and the Fed. Repeal ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley. Fire all of the czars, dismantle the Marxist state and fire if not jail Bernanke. And send 185 federal socialist welfare programs back to the states and the people, and return education back to local control.

Newt will directly challenge the liberal activist judiciary and end the unconstitutional power grabs of our usurping black robed rulers. He wants to restore the constitutional balance of powers between the three branches and restore states rights and individual rights. He wants to turn government control back to the states and local people as the founders set it up.

These are the kind of dramatic reductions in government that the tea party is demanding.

Jim Robinson official supporting Newt Gingrich...Jan. 19, 2012
