My Most Esteemed FRiends,

I have nothing against Breitbart lining his pockets and I like the guy (though I admit my post probably didn’t sound like it). He is a hero for his work. And yes he usually has a pretty good sense of when and how to release things like this.

But the ACORN stuff, Van Jones, and Weiner stuff was not teased out over 6-9 months. What concerns me is that this sounds like a very big punch. And you don’t telegraph a big punch. And he has not telegraphed it over a week or two or three to raise interest. Instead he has set up a situation where it can be either released by someone else or it can be almost completely defused by drips and drabs and rewritten by the Axelrod Ministry of Truth in that period of time.

IMHO it would be better to simply put it out now and let it become part of the ads that the primary candidates are running right now. They are spending huge money, some of which won’t be around after the nominee is chosen. Besides, if this thing really shows Obama and his pals out to be the true radicals we believe them to be, even a few Democrats will have to concede our case. Harry Reid will have to stop protecting the guy by creating roadblocks in the Senate. And who knows, maybe even some of Obama’s hagiographers in the press will stop turning a blind eye to the destruction he is intent on.

Then again, perhaps it is not the “Fat Man” we all hope it is.

Ok, fair enough - so I will make two points in response.

A: your first post was not well reasoned and thought out - it was drive by snarky and accusatory in tone EVEN IF you didn’t intend it to be so.

B: second, we’re going to have to trust that Breitbart has a better sense of timing than you do on this.

I had the good pleasure of watching him speak to a small crowd some weeks ago, and had a nice (short) conversation with him before he left.

He's got a great vision and understanding of what is going on right now, and is a fun, very capable warrior for our side.

I would not underestimate him, he's hit more home runs than most.

What concerns me is that this sounds like a very big punch. And you don’t telegraph a big punch.

If you're boxing.

And what's the difference between telegraphing a punch and faking a punch?

You may want to make the opponent think you're going to do one thing while setting up another so that his reaction in anticipation of what you're not going to do will increase the impact of what you're really going to do.

All to the better if Axelrod and Soros are asking:
"Videos? Videos? What videos are those, Barry? You didn't tell us anything about videos. Are they marching in angry protest videos? Are they urinating on the U.S. flag videos? Are they doing lines of coke videos? Are they amber drops videos? Are they anything like the photos your mom did with Frank Marshal Davis? How are we going to spin it? Uh, well, people typically experience college as a time of experimentation with different lifestyles and Michelle and your two daughters don't hold that against you so why should the American voter? Tell us what we can expect, Barry."
We want them to waste time and effort worrying about what could happen. That's less time and effort they have for everything else.
