Newt Gingrich Just Totally KILLED It At CPAC.
Business Insider ^ | February 10, 2012 | Grace Wyler

Newt Gingrich was on fire at CPAC this afternoon, proving once again that the former House Speaker is political Teflon.

Apparently recovered after his epic meltdown in Nevada, Gingrich revved up the crowd at CPAC with an impassioned version of his stump speech that hit all the conservative high notes (Obamacare, taxes, war on religion, et. al.) In short, Gingrich managed to give the audience the "red meat" that his main rival Mitt Romney failed to deliver earlier this afternoon.

Good grief, my heart almost stopped-—I read the sidebar title as “Newt just killed”. WHEW

We DVrd his speech and watched it tonight. THIS is the Newt who can win, who can kick Romney to the curb, and who can beat the living crap out of Obama. He was FANTASTIC!

His speech at CPAC today was simply this:

THE BEST CONSERVATIVE SPEECH BY A POLITICIAN THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE. PERIOD.

The things he said, the ideas he suggested, was a seemingly endless laundry list of every conservative action we have wanted out of a president for the last few decades.

If you can listen to that speech today, and not figure out that he actually believes in conservatism then... I can’t help you.

It was unbelievable. The tragedy was that it was only on CSPAN. It needed to be worldwide!

If you didn’t see it, find a recording and watch it. You need to listen to the whole thing. He didn’t stop. He hammered a dozen or more points that every politician fears to tread near.

No matter which candidate you currently support, you NEED to see today’s speech from Newt.

It was excellent, though that’s an inadequate word... I am trying to figure out the best venue to get people to see it... lots of people don’t like youtube, or watching stuff online... but America needs to see it... We need to be Newt’s Network!

I have always loved Newt. He is the only hope this country has. Everything and everybody that are screwing up our country hate Newt, they are scared to death of him. They know with him at the helm, he will turn this ship around and they will lose their power. Mitt is a dull boy with no spark. Santorum is too wet behind the ears, all he’s ever done is ride into Washington on Newt’s coat tails back in ‘94. If Newt isn’t nominated we all need to start stocking up supplies and preparing for the worst.

That speech was a barn burner.

Up there with Palin at the convention in 2008.

" It's apparent that the media is trying to keep Newt out of the news "

And I guess according to the Newt supporters the sun don't rise in the east unless Newt says it rises in the east..

Who is supposed to be managing/coordinating his campaigns?

I wouldn’t doubt there are moles embedded, to try and stop Newt’s campaing from within.

No. The sun rises in the east no matter what.

If you’ve got a point, spit it out.

I agree, Newt knocked it out of the park.

Zell Miller's speech at the 2004 Republican National Convention is another great one that comes to mind.

Those Georgia Boys know how to light the fire.

I don’t that much about it. I know RC Hammond is the face. Newt just got a new chief of staff, that kind of coincided with a lot of stuff changing. His basic staff has been described as young fresh faced republicans, and old political radicals, like those in Gene McCarthy’s campaign, but I couldn’t find much about Gene McCarthy... I suppose that means he lost... Adelson, if you remember, was supposed to use some of his PAC money setting up a shadow campaign with his pac money, taking it over from the radicals and young ones... I don’t know if he actually did that or what’s going really. I know Adelson met with Romney a week ago, and now Adelson is being rumored by Bloomberg to be pulling out his money from Newt... which would be really bad..

I got an email with a text number or cell number from a BJ Van Gundy... and that guy sounds really familiar for some reason... but haven’t had time to google..

Every time I think he's done he comes back.

I'm still glad Santorum's in the race though.
