I have no disagreement that conservatives should ultimately unite. But, 2 things.

(1) Today’s, Rasmaussen poll was R34-g-27-S18-P12. Newt is simply not going to drop out while he still leads Rick in the polls- particularly with the advent of his strong states.

(2) If Newt did drop out now, Ronmey would carpet bomb Rick with negative ads— As it stands now, Romney likely doesn’t know who to go after.

I support Newt over Rick, for one reason- Newt did mastermind the defeat of the 40 year Dem rule in the House- that’s just fact. And therefore, I think he’s is infinitely more capable of any of the current candidates to turn the country around in 2013- he has that proven record.

I’m sure, if he doesn’t do well in the Southern states, and Rick continues to climb, Newt will ultimately drop. But, that remains to be seen.

I may be wrong but I feel Newt is tanking and Rick is peaking at the same time. The opinion polls will bear this out soon. Mitts machine will begin trashing Rick in earnist but people are frankly tired of the negative battle between Newt and Mitt.
