Do you really think the Conservatives are going to fall for the token conservative on the ticket trick again? Look how they managed Palin’s message so she could never say anything and they will do it again. That is just pandering. Pray for America

I don't like it any more that you do but here's the problem.

Newt had a huge victory in SC. At that time he needed 8 or 10 more huge donors like Sheldon Adelson. He needed big money guys who could dump 5 million at a time into his campaign coffers. For one reason or another they failed to materialize.

Absent millions to spend on advertising to solicit votes from the dumbest of voters Newt was destroyed in Fla. Is their any reason at all to think that same scenario won't be replayed over and over and over.

Newt's message, one he is giving right on on MTP and is brilliant is not heard by all. How many middle of the roaders, uninformed Republicans/NPA's who decide elections, are hearing his message?

Not enough.

It's just like Orly Taitz trying to go after the regime with no Mark Levin and without millions in her bank account. Things don't happen in a void. Everything happens for a reason. We are seeing that reason unfold before us. Am I unhappy that we don't have a Palin/Romney or Rubio/ Romney ticket? Dam right. Is there anything at all I can do about the unfolding of our current candidates at this point? I'm all ears.

I have to agree with rodguy911 on this.  I plan on supporting Santorum first here in CO, then Newt second and finally Romney third.  But no matter who wins the nomination I will support our candidate over 0bama.

It should also be noted that IF Romney wins the candidacy, he will be under close scrutiny and pressure from the base to stay conservative and uphold our values.

I understand the outcome in OR since we have had similar experiences here in CO.  But, and it's a huge BUT, there is NO way we can survive as a country if 0bama is reelected.  That's the difference this time around.

In the mean time, here in CO, we will keep working to get more Tea Party aligned candidates elected and we'll grow the base of conservative thinking voters.

Of course I’ve forgotten the exact figures, but in Florida Romney ran about 100 times the number of tv and radio ads that Newt was able to run.

Within those controlled settings, Romney comes across as conservative, thoughtful, etc.

Newt needs money.

And I double guarantee you the those Romney voters in FLA hadn't the faintest idea of his record
They were influenced by the lies about Newt in Romney's ads which were abetted by the MSM who know the truth about both candidates

Not one word of criticism about Romney's negative ads but when Newt responds he gets dumped on by both The MSM and conservative journalists
