Too bad and too late.
The primaries are over and Mitt won and even Rush Limbaugh believes we need to get behind the nominee and focus our energies on going after Obama.

“The primaries are over ...”
Not yet. That’s the meme the MSM, the RNC and the beltway pundits want us to buy, but there are plenty of primaries left to go.

The problem with our betters deciding that Romney will be the annointed one is that a significant portion of the base will, indeed, stay home rather than vote for him. It’s pointless to whine that such intransigence is self defeating and not really “truely conservative”. It is not for the electorate to conform itself to the RNC’s preference: it’s the RNC’s job to recruit and support candidates that can speak to the base, carry their standard.

Mittens can’t, or won’t do that.

“we need to get behind the nominee”

Yes we do. Please let me know when one of the candidates has 1144 delegates, or there are no other candidates left besides him in the race. Then I’ll get behind our nominee.

Rush Limbaugh doesn't tell me what to do. He had his chance to knock off some of his rantings against Newt (so sorry) I am not selling out my core beliefs for the RNC nor for Rush.

************
The primaries were over for Limbaugh on the day Romney declared. You see, Rush worships at the altar of money— Romney made multi-multi millions- that’s a Limbaugh hero, no matter how the money was made.

To Limbaugh, Newt’s a peasant.

I'd accuse you of having smoked something wacky but Mittbots aren't known for doing that.

Can you point out to me where Rush said that? As recently as this week he was calling for the Primaries to go on as long as possible to get the Conservative message out. If Mittens was his guy, would he be calling for it to end now? Does anyone bother listening to these radio programs before mindlessly attacking the hosts?

Well I hate to tell you this but I don’t give a damn what Limbaugh thinks. And TRUE conservatives follow rules and laws. You wanna cheat or ignore rules and law, become a Democrat. Romney is.

Nice try. a) Rush is great but he is not god (Romney is:) and b) there is no nominee, they are all 1000 votes shy.

What kind of shill statement was that anyway?

HUH, primaries are not over, the RNC are breaking their own rules for their RINO establishment guy and Romney should be beaten like hell over his Govt health care and liberal judges to homosexual agenda.

To say Rush said this and therefore we should all forget it does not mean we are all sheep.
We go by what we want and not follow one guy just because he states something

I have heard NOTHING from RUSH that indicates what YOU said....he’s been trying to stay OUT of endorsement...it’s been VERY obvious.

Fact check ... primaries are not over. Indiana’s will be in May.

Also, 35 or 50 delegates is a long way from the 1,100 or so needed to win the nomination.

Finally, Rush has been wrong before. You could look it up.

Opinion: Romney doesn’t stand a chance against Obama.

I disagree. As a Floridian who voted for Newt and who resides in one of the Counties that Newt won, I don’t appreciate my vote being quashed!

...even Rush Limbaugh believes we need to get behind the nominee and focus our energies on going after Obama.

Rush and pretty much every other commentator.

Meanwhile, one of the possibilities they urge me to "get behind" is a person so craven that as governor, with the governor's pen with an official proclamation, endorsed and encouraged a movement that "reaches out" to kids as young as junior high schoolers in "gay youth pride" celebrations where they either declare themselves gay and proud of it, or embrace open homosexuality in their peers. (NOTE: I've been mistaken in posts of late citing it being aimed at a specific middle school -- my memory was faulty, as I learned when I went online to find the original information to link -- it's worse than that; the "Gay Youth Pride" events involve adults AND children)

Vote FOR a guy so craven and depraved that he used his political office to promote the open embrace and self-declaration of homosexuality among children?

People can rationalize it all they want -- "B-b-b-but Anybody But Obama!" or "What about the Supreme Court justices?" (to which I say, go do some online research on Romney's judge picks in Massachusetts, most of which were activist liberal Democrats) or the hysterical cry, "Bbbbut .. we can't survive another four years of Obama!"

EXCUSE ME -- if we can't survive another four years of a Socialist Marxist Democrat, we'd certainly find ourselves cursed ten times worse if we voted FOR a Republican who has engaged in such depraved evil as condoning open homosexuality among schoolchildren.

Republican leaders want me to get behind that?

Count me out. I'll have enough to answer for on Judgment Day.

Romney cannot defeat Obama. The majority of voters are not going to vote for an investment banker who founded Bain Capital where its main business is to sell and buy in companies and in the process many people lost their jobs but Bain Capital made money in almost every deal regardless of the company they bought going bust or not. I am not talking here about the OWS lunatics, I am talking about the regular folks and not matter how much Romney spins it, or Limbaugh spins it, or any and all on our side spin it, there is no way that Romney is going to survive his Bain Capital record in the general elections. Add to that all other stuff such as his comment on the very poor, paying 15% of taxes on his massive income, his total detachment from the regulars folks, his foreign bank accounts in countries, his wealth, etc... and Obama is going to crush this fool in historical proportions.

We need to choose wisely in these primaries and the wise choice is Gingrich.
