What does he do all day? Are you impressed with the image of Obama-at-work left by Ryan Lizzas Obama Memos piece in the New Yorker? The Presidents decision-making methodat least as described in the pieceseems to consist mainly of checking boxes on memos his aides have written for him. They offer him four stimulus packages, none bigger than $890 billion. He does not ask for more but does push for an inspiring moon shot initiative. At first its a national smart gridhard not to get inspired just hearing those words! When aides explain that this isnt stimulating enough, he settles for high-speed trains. Hes presented with a list of $60 billion in cuts to his core stimulus policies, and writes OK.

Im sure Obama is smarter than this. He cant be an executive who spends his days checking boxes, accepting the choices presented by his aides, never reaching outside them through unconventional channels or reaching unconventional thinkers, never throwing over the framework with which he is presented.
Im sure of it, but I cant find much evidence for it in Lizzas piece.

No matter how bad a president someone may think W. was, they have to be imbecilic to think that Obama is anywhere near as good and some idiots actually think Obama is better. I remember one old fool who lectured me on how Obama was going to patch up our diplomatic relations that had been ruined by Bush. The old fool is dead now but he had realized his mistake by the time he passed on, sometimes I wonder if having to face his own stupidity hastened his demise.
Bet he can dance too. Of course; we know Obama can act. . .
Stories should be screaming by now; that we not only have an empty suit in the White House; we have an empty chair, in the Oval Office. As well; a MIA, Commander-in-Chief. Hope the history books eventually catch it all.
Not looking good, however; for 'history meeting myth'; given whose writing most of it.
Screaming, pathetic and outrageous; the 'truth' of this man; so hidden from view. Can only imagine, the 'self-congratulations' that goes on in lieu of 'work'.
You just have to check out his schedule on www.whitehouse.gov to see how busy he is - what time he starts his “official” day and what time he winds it up. Unless he’s campaigning, he’s meeting with others to pick THEIR brains and even then it’s not even an 8 hour day! Of course, he hasn’t discovered yet that there’s not much there to pick...
I wonder the same thing about Holder. If he’s not supervising his underlings, just WHAT is HE doing?
Bending over? Did Obama find a replacement for Reggie - or not. . .
“”cant remember the goons name ...””
Andy Stern?
The Multiple Choice POTUS?
Those were always the easiest tests.
I’ve known dogs and cats who were smarter than Obama.
He typically “works” 4-5 hours max - unless he’s golfing or flying around AF1 campaigning.
Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man which imagine mischief in their heart; continually are they gathered for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is their lips. Selah. (Psalm 140:1-3)
He spends a lot of time with his feet propped up on WH furniture.
“”He spends a lot of time with his feet propped up on WH furniture.””
Make that “our furniture.” That is so disrespectful, I can’t even express my disgust. I remember the Mrs., saying that her girls couldn’t wait to do their homework on the desk in the Lincoln bedroom where Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. They really are lower class people!!! Can’t wait for the day when they pack up and move back to whatever hole they crawled out of.
I hate Obama beyond Amy words can describe.
On the rare occasion that Barry is actually in the Whitehouse I read that he is in the oval office from about 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Then he goes up to the family quarters for din din and then locks himself in his study doing God knows what. Good work if you can it.
Yeah I think that’s it.
