"In July 1996, the 14-year-old daughter of Robert Gay, a partner at Bain Capital, had disappeared," the story reads. "She had attended a rave party in New York City and gotten high on ecstasy. Three days later, her distraught father had no idea where she was. Romney took immediate action. He closed down the entire firm and asked all 30 partners and employees to fly to New York to help find Gays daughter. Romney set up a command center at the LaGuardia Marriott and hired a private detective firm to assist with the search. He established a toll-free number for tips, coordinating the effort with the NYPD, and went through his Rolodex and called everyone Bain did business with in New York and asked them to help find his friends missing daughter. Romneys accountants at Price Waterhouse Cooper put up posters on street poles, while cashiers at a pharmacy owned by Bain put fliers in the bag of every shopper. Romney and the other Bain employees scoured every part of New York and talked with everyone they could prostitutes, drug addicts anyone.
"That day, their hunt made the evening news, which featured photos of the girl and the Bain employees searching for her. As a result, a teenage boy phoned in, asked if there was a reward, and then hung up abruptly. The NYPD traced the call to a home in New Jersey, where they found the girl in the basement, shivering and experiencing withdrawal symptoms from a massive ecstasy dose. Doctors later said the girl might not have survived another day. Romneys former partner credits Mitt Romney with saving his daughters life, saying, It was the most amazing thing, and Ill never forget this to the day I die.

Well that’s nice, I am still not voting for him.
Not enough to make me want to vote for him but certainly a good thing to do.
Yes, it was a cool thing to do.
I’m still not voting for him.
I agree, very decent thing for Romney to do, and I would urge Mitt to drop his campaign RIGHT THIS MINUTE and devote his efforts to where he has proven to be an effective, compassionate manager, locating runaways and returning them to their parents, hey: he could team up with John Walsh!
Do I hear a second out there?
Well this was a mighty good deed, no doubt about that.
If they shut down Bain for days to do this, it cost some real coin, both in cash and in opportunity cost.
Absolutely amazing story. I’m so glad that Romney chose to use his money and influence to help this family and save this girl’s life. This does not mean he is presidential material.
I don’t care for most of his politics, but this was quite heroic. Never heard anything about this.
Strange to say it, but Good Job Mitt!
Sounds like he’s found his calling. He should pursue it.
The election is not for Chief Detective. So while Romney may have searched for his partner’s daughter, he is still not suitable to be POTUS.
New career opportunity for him;
LIBEROMNEY..PET DETECTIVE
I still won’t vote for him either.
BINGO!
Crisis management and organizational skills.
One cannot imagine Zero doing this.
This was a very nice thing for him to do. What would make him look even better is to put some of his millions into helping find missing and exploited children, or to womens shelters. Poor children need help too.
I will still NOT vote for him.
Cause he’s gonna need all the good stories like this if he becomes the nominee....he’ll prolly have a tv movie out by then
Twaddle.
Thousands of people have crisis management and organizational skills, and I don’t want them to be POTUS any more than I want Willard to be POTUS.
This is lipstick on a pig... Lovely frosting on a crap cake. I’m not swallowing it, let alone taking a bite.

Mitt Pimping! IBTZ!
What, did he pay all these people who’s lives he usurped? Did they feel they better help him, or else?
Romney really scares me.
