“Paul says he would cut $1 trillion from the federal behemoth. I think he would at least try.”

RuPaul has been in CONgress for thousands of years and has yet to accomplish a blessed thing. Why should we trust him now ?

He wants to slash the federal government. Of course he’s not going to be on the winning side with that. How many of the other 434 congressmen (either Dims or Republicans) want to do that? You can probably fit them in a phone booth.

Would you rather trust Geo. Bush or Willard Romeny and John Boehner to get the job done?

I am supporting Gingrich for Pres. (had supported Bachmann until she dropped out) because he is the most tolerable candidate left as far as I’m concerned. My preferences among the (not very encouraging) field:

1. Gingrich
2. Santorum
3. Paul
4. Romney.

Amoung the four, I think Paul would try to reign in government spending more than any of the others. I think Newt could be second. However, I favor Gingrich and Santorum over Paul based upon Paul’s foreign/defense positions and weakness on immigration. But Paul would be more likely to take a meat cleaver to the federal budget than would Willard or Santorum.

Actually, sometimes someone in Congress NOT accomplishing anything is a plus. Maybe the rest of them should try it.
