I'm no Trump fan. I would have thought Trump would be more likely to endorse Romney.

However, Josh Painter is absolutely right — Gingrich needs money, he needs money, both quickly to turn the campaign around and for the long term to carry the fight to the convention. If you're going up against a self-funded multimillionare candidate, having another multimillionare backing you is a huge benefit.

Gingrich deserves congratulations if this report proves to be true.
