Rush did it because he was upset with the moderate campaigning by GHW Bush. It was intended as a wake up call to the GOP. The result was an invite to a White House visit where Rush was brought back in line.

I have a question about the Florida primary. In the 2008 election, there was an issue with same day registration for the primary (2007, actually), that was allowed at the last minute by that RINO governor. Do we still have same day registration for the Republican primary in Florida?
