Ron Paul believes in:
not getting entangled in foreign wars,
requiring a Declaration of War before we go to war, individual civil liberties and personal freedoms,
no debt,
a US dollar backed by gold, and
not letting the federal government do anything that is not specifically specified in the U.S. Constitution.

Crazy thoughts!!! What a real oddball!! What kind of people actually believes in those things?

Interesting...I don't see anything in the Constitution authorising federal taxpayer monies going to build recreational fishing piers in Ron Paul's district, which is just one of the many earmarks that Captain Pork has inserted into appropriations spending over the last two years.

He also believes that we only have enemies because we make them mad at us.

That is a suicidal belief.

Amen! Thank you. There are some people who call themselves conservatives but hate the idea of actually allowing the constitution to function as it was intended to by the Framers.

If one believes in federalism and the sovereign rights of the states to govern themselves as they feel fit so long as they do not run afoul of specific prohibitions in their own or the federal constitution (or otherwise tread upon a specifically enumerated power delegated to the general government) then why is it so crazy that a person who has a legal business in the state of Nevada would want to give money to a candidate that supports traditional notions of American Liberty? It is insulting to the Brothel owner to suggest that he is only interested in T&A. Maybe the guy also would prefer to cut a Trillion dollars from the budget or perhaps likes Austrian Economics rather than statist socialism.
