I can certainly understand the despair found in your post. We as a nation have truly in so many directions have gone out of the way. Nevertheless, I would like to offer food for thought: did Soddam and Gomorrah deserve saving? Abraham thought so, and apparently our Lord God did too, for he agreed to save them if 10 Righteous could be found. Of course, since they could not, then they were destroyed. But it should be noted that while the city could not be saved, the ones who WERE the Righteous were! Another nugget of hope for us to ponder is that the Lord God felt that Ninevah was worthy to be saved even though his prophet Jonah didn’t think so! When the people heed the Word, our Lord God WILL save!

In the name of our Savior, I petition the Lord God for the saving of America for the sake of the archetypal “10 Righteous.”

Beloved Heavenly Father,
We who claim and desire to be children of Abraham, in the name of our Savior, do petition you for the promise you made Abraham, that you would “save the city” if there can be found the “10 Righteous.”

Father, we do not know if there are that number yet in this nation, but we have great hope that there are. We who gather here on this thread are among them. We know others who do not gather here at FreeRepublic.com but who do gather in their places of worship. We know others who may not formally worship, but who do passionately love freedom and our Constitution. We have witnessed the hunger of our people in the past 3 or 4 years to learn of our nation’s Founding and the part you played in it. We have witnessed the rise of the people in the various Tea Party organizations and that there is a spirit and determination among them to vote for people who will abide by that Constitution. Blessed Father, for the sakes of these ones, we beseech you to save America!

Father, we do not ask for the staying of your hand in a Father’s loving chastisement of his sons and daughters who have gone astray. Nevertheless, because the chastisement should be great because of our many sins as a nation, we do ask for a mitigation. Beloved Father, help us to cling to you and to continue to worship you despite trying times. Strengthen our faith. Cause our Savior to cut free the souls who are caught up in the deceptions of darkness who should not be lost. Stand fast and protect and guide those who are seeking and serving in public office who are truly seeking to serve you and the Holy Cause of Freedom and not themselves.

Help us to preserve the framework of our Republic so that if and when there is the shaking of all which can be shaken, the foundations of America, like the City Foursquare, will remain intact. We ask that you will take our prayers and multiply them for your own Holy purpose according to thy Will.

Father, we ask that you will roll back the attacks which have been launched on the people whom you have chosen as your choice candidates. In the name of our Savior, shatter and bind those forces of inordinate smear campaigns and the pointing of the finger like the Accuser of the Brethren, accusing them before you and your children day and night. We demand in the name of our Savior that such tactics will cease to be effective this day, according to thy will!

Father, we ask that you will place your divine Presence over all who are seeking public office at all levels in this nation as well as our people. We ask that the ones whom you have selected will be the ones our people will ratify as the best ones available for the jobs they are seeking.

We ask that your divine Presence will be over those whom you have NOT selected as well, because we want them to be brought into your control and discipline according to thy will. Father, we also pray this for those whose hands are currently on the levers of power at all levels throughout this nation in the various offices and agencies and courts of the federal and state governments. We petition that this government by this means shall be upon HIS shoulder, that our Savior may truly save in this hour that which you appoint to be saved of our Republic.

Father, we come to this altar with humility and with the greatest capacity of love that we have, and we offer it to you and pray for our people in this hour. You have shown in your Word that you are gracious to hear the pleas of your repentant children.

Father, please take our repentance and let it count for the making up of the contract condition of the “10 Righteous” who are needed in order for there to be the “saving of the city.” We have all faith that no matter what, you are on your Throne, and that you are and WILL be with us as events unfold, and that all shall unfold according to your just and merciful Plan in your own timing.

Father, we ratify that Plan and ask that anything we pray together will be perfected and placed in alignment with your Divine Will, and that our prayers may be multiplied as much as your great Law will allow.

We thank you and praise you for granting this prayer according to thy Will, for we know that you are indeed with us! We do agree to this together in prayer in the name of our Savior.

In profoundest gratitude to you, our glorious Father, and to our beloved Savior, and to the blessed Holy Spirit Comforter, we say,
