I work very hard. My parents worked hard. Everything I have is because we all worked for it, right?
I was raised to believe that. And I do believe it. But about six years ago I saw a video that opened my eyes to the possibility there may be other ingredients to success.
It was after worship services at First United Methodist Church one Sunday. A bunch of us — all white, educated, and, I daresay, comfortable — watched a video. In it, people of all races stood in a line in the middle of a room. The leader of the group asked several questions, telling people to respond by moving forward or stepping back. She said step back if you had ever been followed around a store. Step forward if you expect to inherit at least a little money when your parents die. Step back if you’ve ever been denied housing because of your race. Step back if you worried that your hairstyle was too “ethnic” for an employer or if you’ve ever been stopped for driving your car in the wrong neighborhood.
Wow!
As I watched the video, I realized that even though I have worked hard most of my life, I’ve never had to put up with problems like that. I’ve felt accepted no matter where I went, and if I didn’t, it wasn’t because of my race.
I realized that even though my father had literally put blood, sweat and tears into farming land in southwestern Minnesota, that had he been Native American or African American his parents probably wouldn’t have even owned land in the first place. And my life would have been much different.

Because that’s what it’s boiling down to now. This sh1t needs to end or the country will fracture. Dems and libs more than want it to happen.

DOJ stats regardig black/white crimes shows 90% of attacks are blacks against whites. White women are far more likely to be raped by a black man than a white man despite population differences.

Even though I did not vote for the obomination in the WH I honestly thought that his election might finally heal the open wounds of race that refuse to scab over because the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, Van Jones,... keep picking at the wound to make sure it keeps bleeding.
I was wrong and after 3+ years of the race pimp mafia being run from the WH, I am sick an tired of their race card crap.
This country is filled with minorities who came here LEGALLY learned the language and in some cases even had to learn an entirely new alphabet yet we have a democrat led plantation crowd who shows very little sign of wanting to improve their lot by becoming contributing members of our society. They seem to want to keep their hand out while at the same time bitch and whine that we are not giving them enough and playing the race card if we complain.
This male portion of this same group represents ~~6% of the USA’s population yet commit 50+% of all crimes. There is something wrong and playing the race card to hide this FACT only perpetuates this dependent, no responsibility, not my fault, we are held back by our skin color, excuse culture.
I’ve had it with these failures. If people even today can come to this country with nothing and not even speak the language and make something of themselves and their families maybe the race pimps need to look at their own race and culture for the real cause of their failures.
For every good American of African descent we still have the race pimps who do their best to make sure the “N” word is still relevant.
Her time would have been better spent watching a DVD of "Blazing Saddles".
Step forward if you went to all the best schools because of affirmative action, never had an honest job, worked as a "community organizer" mob agitator , and then waltzed into the presidency with no vetting from the media.
Two million steps forward if you have been labeled an “oppressor” because of your race, or told that your hard work was irrelevant because all men in your race were handed the best things in life on a silver platter, or read ads that encourage everyone except men of your race to apply.
[ So how does Affirmative Action help?
The result is, when a black person truly does achieve success, a lot of people will only think they got there because of Affirmative Action, or some other quota-based program...how does that help race relations? ]
And then intense tension slowly develops based on people thinking that race was the reason rather than ability and those hired even if they are qualified will have to be deal with the resentment other has towards them.
Reverse Racism is even worse than regular racism because most people don’r realize it exists and it lowers people expectations of people who are a minority group.

It’s discrimination by cultural behavior.
When the majority of a group act in a way that is considered ‘wrong’ by another... all members of the group in question will be judged by the actions of their majority.
You get a clean-cut, well-dressed black or hispanic man in a suit-n-tie store and he’ll be no more discriminated against then the same white man.
But you get a gangsta rap ‘yoot’ with his pants around his knees while wearing a wife-beater... and they’ll be asked to leave, no matter the color.
What makes it sad is that certain cultural groups favor undesirable behavior over other groups.

The number of soldiers who fought for the Confederacy that couldn’t afford a single slave is conveniently ignored; today we’re led to believe that southern slaveowners alone fought for the Confederacy, while the truth is that a large number of poor whites in the South weren’t much better off than slaves (in fact, fear of economic competition from blacks motivated them during & after the war).
Can’t let facts get in the way of our convenient myths, though...

Affirmative action is alive and well out in public for everyone to see. That is government supported racism.
No, I didn’t quite see the racism when I was applying for jobs that turned out to be for blacks only.
No, I didn’t quite see the racism when I was denied promotions because the company wanted “a higher visible black” on that job.
No, I didn’t quite see the racism when my work in college had to be above par for an average grade in “black” studies course and had to have my work put in binders with a cover page, and the blacks only had to scribble some stuff in a 3-ring notebook and rip it out like garbage, slap a staple in a corner somewhere . . . and they got a higher grade.

Think about the evolution of terms. At one time, Negro was a commonly used term for a black person. Then the libs wanted to smear someone who used that term so suddenly Negro became a racist term.
Then Colored became the accepted term for a black person. That word too, became considered “racist” to stifle a whitey.
Then African-American became the accepted term. And then .. and then ... and then.
What the heck? All the while, those of us who are NOT racist in any sense are maligned by just discussing anything “BLACK”!
Even Blacks are dissed for using these terms to describe their heritage.
Of course, we ‘honkeys’ or honkies are hated in speech at will by all minorities. Hispanics can teach that it is OK to kill whites in order to retake areas of the Southwest.
