No, he is a radio host. You make a stand.
My advice: Just shut up and let him talk. :^)
And pray for Santorum to see the light and drop out TODAY.
10 minutes in and he’s just been bashing Newt.
He needs to stay neutral. You probably don’t want to know who he likes.
Rush wouldn’t back a conservative in the 2003 California Recall..
but Hannity and Hewitt had no problem backing aRnold..
Why should he change his MO now?
At least he should ask Santorum voters to vote for Newt in FL to keep it going. Rick has no stake in FL anyway and the best chance he has is if the race keeps going. They can support Rick after FL, just get us over the hump.
If Romney takes FL, Rick will be out as well.
You will not get past the call screener.
He won’t. He just said that he wants the campaign to go on.
It’s better for him anyway to let the RINOs destroy every one then lose to Obama. I’m sure business has been booming for the past three years. Subscriptions and selling Snapple tea with a different label.
Now he’s lecturing us about the dirty politics between Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. As if any of us didn’t know this. I suppose we have to look at Romney as Jefferson now. He’s pathetic. I can’t listen anymore. Let him lecture someone else who doesn’t know about American history.
I am ping you all to see if you could help get Rush to take a stand in Florida.
If you have the time, and you want Romney to lose, then call Rush. Even if you support Santorum it would behoove you to help defeat Romney.
I prefer Rush support Newt, because I believe Newt is the only one who can defeat Obama. However, a loss by Romney with both Newt and Rick still in would be an even bigger defeat for him then if Rick did drop out.
Either way, call Rush, and ask him to tell us who he voted for, or will vote for. His choice will go a long way to helping Romney lose.
Rush wants to get invited to the right parties and golf courses, too. Name-dropping is very important.
I have been a Rush fan from day one. I have difficulty in saying this, but the man has completely lost me.
I now see Rush as a worthless POS......
YOU can beg that a$$ to turn around, but nothing you say will change his mind....you might as well be trying to teach a ball of spit to talk.
FURL
Yeah, ace, that'll work.
El Rushbo needs to stay above the fray.
And IIRC, Rush is wary of any third party attempt (which would split the vote and elect, ugh, Obama); thus, he will (again, IIRC) likely support the GOP nominee, whomever that might be.
It carries much more force if he doesn't end up supporting someone in the general that he opposed in the primaries.
.
All Rush does is bash Romney and praise Mitt — I don’t think you need to do anything. And calling Romney a “cultist” doesn’t really help your cause.
He won’t endorse a specific candidate for several reasons not usually vocalized.
1. Candidates buy a lot of ad time on his affiliate stations. Endorsing a specific candidate could hurt the stations’ selling.
2. Its not Rush’s style to endorse a specific candidate in a primary. He is about not telling people what to do but acting on their own. He doesn’t want a candidate sullied in more liberal states by the soundbites ‘xx only won because Rush told his minions to vote for him..bought and paid for by Rush...’ etc.
3. A specific candidate can bite you this early on if that candidate drops out or something embarrassing comes out. He isn’t the type to want to jump loyalties, endorsing xx one week and yy the next week.
Tell Rush to do another Radio OPERATION HILLERY where Rush encouraged people to extend 2008 Dem Primary by backing Hillary. Rush could follow Sarah Palin’s example, by saying VOTE FOR NEWT to extend the GOP primary season.
Rush Limbaugh supports Romney. He has taken a stand and its for Romney.
If Rush told everyone to vote for Romney it would hurt his creditability. Instead, he trashes every one else except Romney and when he does ‘criticize’ Romney its always thinly concealed praise.
Rush is going to do only, what Rush is going to do...
I don’t ask un-elected entertainers to take a stand for me, because don’t assume that their wants and needs parallel mine in any way. They’re entertainers, paid to say things that people tune in to hear, and are beholden to people I would never align myself with.
I take my own stand and suggest you do the same.
So don't waste your time trying to gin up e-mails. Ask your favorite candidate to request to be on the show, if he has not been so already.
You should know that if a long time listener or insider. He repeats it ever so often.
Talk show hosts are going to air the comments of the candidates and other notables and discuss them--some candidates get caught up in their own accusations and that becomes embarrassing, others have some witty comment on sending politicians to the moon and that gets comment, some fight back to a CNN host on the irregularity of bringing up a past private family experience, that gets talked about, another could have inappropriately used a body part close to his name and that gets really talked about. It all makes the news. No one is spared.
