Obviously so much hatred here for Paterno that my comments were mis interpreted. Or perhaps I said them clumsily. Or both.
I was simply pointing out the basis for why Paterno might be given a break on this to some degree. I also pointed out that certainly part of the equation was his protection of his program, and that was a bad thing.
My view isn’t that different than yours.
I think Jerry Sandusky killed him. If it were the show “Law and Order” Jack McCoy would send Sandusky to the grand jury with some kind of “contributory homicide” charge. (If there is such a thing.)
