If Newt is who God wants in office, it is Newt we shall pray for!!! For in doing so, we’re praying for each of us...

We pray for the voters who will be singing their hand to the candidate of their choosing now in the days ahead....move them favorably toward Newt even if it might be at the last minute.

Song of Trust in God Alone
To the leader: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.
1. For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation.
2. He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall never be shaken.
3. How long will you assail a person,
will you batter your victim, all of you,

I don’t know the Will of God for the outcome of this election. I don’t know if Newt is “the Guy.” All I know is that he is being savaged, just as Cain was and Palin was and other conservatives have been. So on that basis, I DO continue prayers for Newt to be surrounded by angels and the Light of the Lord to protect him from overwhelming unjust smear tactics.
The key, imho is to continue the work of personal repentance and petitions to the Lord for His intercession, which you have called for in this thread. Then, if we truly do that, because He is faithful to those who love Him, He will take command of the process and the outcome.

My fervent prayers for America & for God to come to our aid. I feel like there is a modern day David vs. Goliath battle going on in FL & therefore, I offer this Psalm:
Psalm 35 Of David.
1 Contend, LORD, with those who contend with me;
fight against those who fight against me.

arise and come to my aid.

against those who pursue me.
