Yesterday Tom Delay said “Newt is not a conservative.” This from the guy who left Sugarland, Texas a carpet cleaner and returned a millionaire without holding another job in the private sector. Oh, wait! He did’t return except for his court appearances. But, way to cash in, Tom!

Quite clearly the GOP is irretrievably broken. Seems the moderates among them will sit home if Gingrich gets the nomination, and ditto for the conservatives if it`s Romney.

The Republicans are in desperate need of adult leadership.

As far as I’m concerned, the GOP is a nonentity. It has not represented my standards for many decades. I sometimes have a very difficult time voting for some of their nominees. I’ve voted for the last RINO I will ever vote for.

America has been reduced to a sweet memory for a lack of high standards. I must say it again. High standards come from Almighty God, and were the foundation of this nation. Without God there can be no America!

The quintessential example of establishment angst came Thursday from Bob Dole, the former Senate majority leader and 1996 Republican presidential nominee. Hours before Thursday’s GOP debate, he released a letter — circulated by Mitt Romney’s campaign — attacking Gingrich and pleading with Republican voters not to make him the party’s nominee. There is much rich history behind that letter.

Perhaps Gingrich's classic line labelling Dole "the tax collector for the Welfare State" touched a nerve.

Actually I feel better about Newt’s chances tonight because Dick Morris assured Fox viewers tonight that Romney would win Florida.

The GOP establishment and the Democrat Party are both rooted in and controlled by the same deep pockets. To make it worse - the GOP establishment knows well and good that no real Conservative is going to win without them (or so they are selling in the media).

This so-called "GOP Establishment" gave us Obama.

How fitting that, now, they dare try to subvert what they perceive to be "the People's" will by launching a well-coordinated debate-day attack on Gingrich, complete with an on-site "flash mob" for Romney.

The problem is they never have encountered the power of a people who are beginning to understand their rights, and who, with the First President, George Washington, recognize the dangers of Party, when that Party fails to protect the Constitution and liberty.

"He may resent what the establishment is doing to him now, but he also may welcome the attacks as ratification that he remains a threat to established order.

Gingrich may lose this battle, and he could damage himself in the process. But he will not go quietly, and his old friends and enemies in the party know it."

This is truly grand and historical drama.

It's a good time to be alive.

Perhaps more and more people will come to the conclusion I did back in 1998 that the Grand Old Party is no longer Grand and just an Old Party which has no integrity and deserves to be relegated to the dust heap of history.

If Willard the liberal can buy Florida with negative ads against Newt, let’s see how it works in REAL SOUTHERN STATES. The liberal Willard will be shut out in the South by Newt Gingrich. The GOP “establishment” are too damn stupid to realize this.

If Mitt wins the nomination, he will of scorched the electoral landscape so badly that any attempt to unify will be very difficult. I must believe that he doesn’t want the tea party or conservative base. He’ll do what Dole and McCain did and go for the “moderate/independent” vote. It’s a loser strategy even if he gets a “token” conservative as his VP nomination.
