If the only way to “keep peace” is by submitting to utter lawlessness, then there is no way to keep peace because utter lawlessness will always result in violence anyway. Look at Mexico, for Heaven’s sake.
Don’t keep saying, “Peace, peace” when there is no peace. If what you say is correct then letting this go would be to choose death by LAWLESS violence rather than the society standing strong against terrorist threats. OUr military people know that once the bullets start flying there is only one side that can win. If we refuse to even enter the fight, then the lawless crooks win.

Yes, I agree with this - the violence of the state, in other words. Think of all the Communist regimes run by dictators. Think of Stalin’s purges. 60 mln people killed in Gulag. If that is not violence, what else is?
