I kinda’ thought Scott Walker would be a good one - he’s living the Obama/Union Thugs nightmare in WI and making lemons out of lemonade by putting conservative policies into practice ... with success. He made good points about closing loopholes for the wealthy, the ones both parties have jammed into obese massive tax code , lowering the rates on everyone. Quite obviously, the boomlet about bringing Mitch Daniels into the primaries at this point is a desire not shared by Mitch Daniel himself, or at least not shared by his wife. that is because the speech he gave tonight was not a campaign speech for Mitch Daniels, it was a bland response designed more with maintaining neutrality among the candidates than with opposing Obama in mind.
In any event, the whole idea of some white Knight stepping into the primary contest at this point is so remote and improbable as not to be worthy of serious discussion.
Sometimes Hannity slips. Rush and Levin need to take him to lunch and see if he is feeling ok. Maybe, he needs to Pal around with some solid Role model conservatives for a few days.

The story has been around for years but the insertion of a Gingrich involvement is a week old.
One interesting point of fact that is being omitted in the newest reincarnation of the story. The night before Hume’s son shot himself, he was arrested for drunk driving and attempted to hang himself in his jail cell. Perhaps the humiliation of being put in jail had more to do with his suicide than a homosexual relationship.
Ya know. I have always felt I was somewhat politically informed and up to date on events. I have never heard this story until now. I read the article in the link provided, dated January 12, 2012. It is full of speculation, suggestion and innuendo. If he was outed, he should have been. It is sad he chose to end his life, but there is always more to a suicide than just one event. Guess what, I still love newt and so far, he has my vote.

Plus there is no proposal to raise taxes on investment income to equal higher tax bracket rates on earned income. It’s total misdirection.

I’ve assumed the story is false. But remember, the story was being used not to attack Newt, but to attack Brit — when people were upset that he wasn’t kissing up to Newt, this story came out to “explain” why Brit hated Newt, and therefore couldn’t be trusted to tell us the truth about Newt.
So, what we are SUPPOSED to believe I guess is that the story is patently false, and ALSO that Brit for some reason believed the story is true, and therefore hated Newt.
