Several links posted here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2837590/posts give a good recap of Gingrich’s troubles in the 1990s.

Instructive, and considering that we’re going to be hearing about it for months, something we all should read and know.

Gingrich is a flawed man, for sure. However, there was scant evidence of ethics violations when he resigned, and he was later exonerated.

I’m convinced that the reason he went willingly rather than resign is because he was 5 years into his clandestine affair with Callista and the “family values” candidate was going to be exposed for the hypocrite that he was.

The point is that his political disgrace doesn’t seem so disgraceful in hindsight. It remains to be seen how long he can tolerate the plastic Callista and keep his personal life in order.

“...Gingrich is a flawed man, for sure. ...”

Good point. Everybody is flawed.

To my mind, it’s about time we start concentrating on the blatant flaws of the ‘tards “across the aisle” and start elevating THEIR flaws for the public to see.

“...political disgrace doesn’t seem so disgraceful in hindsight...”

What’s even MORE disgraceful is how this administration was allowed to run amok and basically shove their agenda up our arse end since they “seized control of Congress” in 2006 and then “seized power” in the 2008 Elections.
