What matters is the FL vote and a "winner take all" victory for Romney undoes the derailment of his inevitability.
There's much Romney-friendly territory voting in Feb including the Mormon-heavy Nevada and his birth state of Michigan where his father was governor.

Buck up. I thought Newt did pretty well last night. He did not let Willard make him mad and he sounded presidential and in control. Newt’s on a roll. I think he may really get the nomination. He will probably sweep the south and apparently there is a poll in Nevada showing Newt leading Mitt. All good news.

The Gallup poll uses a five-day rolling average:
So, if Gingrich was behind 1 pct yesterday (5 days/-5pts equals -1pt-avg), he must of scored a knockout in last nights pulling (5 days/+20pts equals +4pts avg) to go from -5 to plus 20 in one night.
Newt appears to have outscored Mitt by about +25 points in last nights Gallup polling.
Any math experts on this thread?

This jives with Rasmussen’s national poll:
Newt 35
Mittens 28
Go, Newt!

Okay Newt, you have the momo. Extend that lead out 10+ points by announcing:
Newt/Sarah 2012!

And now the long knives are out in force in the media attacking Newt Gingrich.
Fox News is a joke putting known Romney supporters before us as supposedly neutral commentators.
Rove is every bit as shrill a Romney-bot as is Coulter, and Brit Hume is Dan Rather.

Faux has lost all credibility. Hume has turned into a mean troll. Newt is on our side against those cowardly pundits and they’re sure worried about his “populism,” much the same way they discounted Sarah Palin’s.
Newt Gingrich is our fighter. Off with their bloviating heads! LOL.

Not at Gallup which is a five day rolling average. One day dropped off and one day came on, so for Newt to gain 5 points, he must have done ten points better than he did five days ago.

I’m pretty sure that Santorum is trying to win the nomination, and not just ‘trying to play the spoiler.’
