BALTIMORE, Md. — During a House GOP retreat in Baltimore on Friday, press secretaries for Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor balked when asked if their bosses believe Attorney General Eric Holder should resign over Operation Fast and Furious.
Sixty-three congressmen, two senators, two sitting governors and every major Republican presidential candidate have demanded Holder’s ouster over the resulting scandal. And 89 congressmen have signed a House resolution of “no confidence” in Holder as the nation’s top law enforcement officer. Between the two lists, which don’t perfectly overlap, 101 members of the House have “no confidence” in Holder, believe he should resign or both.
Though that number — 101 Congressmen — is nearly half of the 242-member Republican caucus in the House, and the surge continues to grow, the press secretaries for Boehner and Cantor refused to answer the question.
Boehner spokesman Michael Steel has ignored emails on the subject for months, but when TheDC caught up with him at the retreat and again asked if his boss thinks Holder should resign for the gunrunning operation that killed U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and at least 300 Mexican civilians, Steel replied, “I don’t think he has said anything on that.”
TheDC followed up with Steel in the lobby of the Waterfront Marriott and asked him if he’d just ask Boehner the question. “Yeah, maybe,” Steel replied.

If you mean that the press dweebs are going to be fired or “resigned”, I doubt it for the simple reason that these guys don’t say anything or withhold anything unless that’s where their boss is at. IOW, the outrage towards Boner and Cantor is well justified. This is not a mistake by their underlings.
I think I am done donating to anymore political candidates unless Palin decided to run in the future. I donated to Rubios’s campaign, several times and even in the beginning when it was thought he had zero chance to win. I was with him from day one and what does he do, take my money and screw me.
I think I’ll just spend my money on vacations and fun things instead of lying politicians that say anything to get you to give them your money.
Everyone here will remember the way the DemonRats went after Ashcroft and then Gonzalez, calling for their heads. In Ashcroft’s case because he was promoting tough anti-terror measures. In Gonzalez’s case because he had fired some US Attorneys supposedly for political reasons. IOW, for NOTHING. Especially when compared with a possible conspiracy to run guns and accessory to murder of hundreds!!! What the hell is wrong with Boner and the other shmuck. And, BTW, why are there only 100 or so calling for his resignation?! Sheesh.
Boehner continues to lead from the rear. Perhaps he’s waiting for 80% of the Republican caucus to call for Holder’s resignation before he feels confident enough to state a position.
We have a Justice dept.,Dept.of Homeland Security that is in need of a house cleaning that would make the purges of Joseph Stalin look like Sunday school kindergartners singing Jesus loves me this I know & the Republican leaders can’t get it thru their heads that stalling is the wrong thing to do. God help us we are in for a rough election season.
Seems like Rubio and Nikki Haley went to the dark side called the GOP. Nikki was cheap 36,000.

And remember Gonzalez resiged under pressure because he was accused of dismissing 9 attorney generals for political reasons and asscusations he didn’t answer truthfully about NSA surveillance programs.

The GOP ‘leadership’ needs a wake up call.
Well.... I’m sure not giving him a pass, but he does have a point. What happened to the tea party? It just sort of fizzled out when we need it the most.
