AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and hes not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (thats Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! Americas anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to dothats host. Get ready to what you were born to dothats listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

I'd love to be in the audience. Every time Newt (or the others) roars against Obama, the Democratic Leadership and the MSM I would be there whooping it up.
Did you see this fantastic read posted yesterday?
Enjoy and then ROAR!!!!

I must be listening to different Rush program. I hear him calming the elite, telling them why we vote Newt, and that it isnt Newt we like, but rather him standing up for conservative principles. That we have a long way to go, etc. and if the other candidates would just stand up, they could win too. Yep. That's the show I heard until I turned it off halfway through, though my heart thrilled when Rush talked about Gingrich's passion and "love of country." But on balance ... I think you nailed it but good, Sister FReeper.

I disagree with Rush on this, it had nothing to do with articulating conservatism. It had to do with telling the enemy (msm) to go to hell in plain and simple terms that we could all understand. I don't think Rush is crazy about Newt, I wasn't either, I was for Cain, but have just been waiting for someone with guts that remain...I hate to say it, but I would vote for Newt, of those left, he is the best we have...I like Santorum but the guys in the middle east would eat him for breakfast...He may be good as president but as CIC he doesn't have it...
Would you rather be sitting across the table with Santorum or Newt when it came to international talks...
Rush has been off his game for the past couple of months. Have heard him disagree with some things he has said in the past.

The loss of a child must be pure torture. I remember Britt Hume discussing the loss of his son when he made some sort of religious comment a while back. I don't think he blames Newt for his son's death. Hume probably does not like how Newt does political business. I'm not a Washington Insider. From my POV, I thought Newt was railroaded at the time. I was mad that Newt gave up so easily.

Surprised they are still up and running.

This is from sometime back, but I am for Ran Paul in this instance. As I told my husband this morning when he refused to park in a space reserved for ‘green’ vehicles, if you can’t protest in big ways, at least you can protest in little ways.
The security at airports is way to ready to abuse power and detain obviously innocent people for fear of profiling.

“Provocative without rudeness and I agree, you and I more than likely share similar takes on the Constitution.”
I have to admit that the way FR has been lately, I had to really hold back from my usual mean spritidness....however, I kept reminding myself to be nice to fellow ping list owners. Especially a keeper of a list that I enjoy when I can attend the discussions.
;-)
“Ive enjoyed our conversation.”
I did too and thank you for confirming that I didn’t step over a line. Have a great day and keep me posted of any snow coming my way....

Rush is not in the bag for Romney.
He doesn’t want to destroy any Republican candidaste at this point because we may be stuck with that person to defeat Obama.

Guess I shouldn’t have been, but I was surprised at the attacks by Romney on Newt.
It’s stuff we kinda knew, but everybody may not know.
It may work a little and Newt has to be vociferous in counteracting all this.

Rush Limbaugh Renews Long-Term Contract With Premiere Radio Networks and Clear Channel Radio as He Celebrates 20 Years On Air and KOMO 4 Television Wins National Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence
Follow the money.....
Mitt Romney founded Bain & Co. in 1984, and today its spinoff -- Bain Capital -- is the
third largest private equity firm in the country. Today
they bought ClearChannel, a company that owns over 1100 radio stations and 30 TV stations.
This is why media consolidation issues are so important. One rich guy who wants to be president can buy a media empire overnight. Now of course, Romney will argue that he didnt buy Clear Channel, his private equity company Bain Capital did. And of course, there is no conflict of interest because Romney doesnt tell Bain Capital what to do as hes no longer officially with the company.
Still, seeing as how Clear Channel hosts Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity and controls over 1,000 TV and radio stations nationwide, does anyone here really think Romney wont use this newfound pedestal to promote his candidacy, however subtly?
The new Clear Channel Media and Entertainment brand also signals the wide range of services that it provides to the radio, media, online, mobile and music industries through its other divisions, including: "Premiere Radio Networks, the content creation and distribution company serving close to 5,000 stations with top-rated programming like Ryan Seacrest, Rush Limbaugh, Delilah and more than 70 other brands and products"

Local Dallas talk show guy Mark Davis, who sometimes subs, is all in the tank for Santorum.
Newt just simply scares him to death. He thinks Newt is the guy Obama wants to run against and that Newt may self destruct in some new and unimaginable way.
I tried to call him, but didn’t have time to wait. I’ll try tomorrow.
He compared Santorum to The Three Bears, as in Newt is too hot, Mitt is too cold and Santorum is just right.
I think Mark Davis fails to understand how totally the public despises the media.
And Santorum is another bland candidate who doesn’t excite anyone. I personally dislike him.
I was for Rick Perry who should be the candidate, but he endorsed Newt and I’m going Newt all the way now.

that explains more about YOUR character than rush’s
evidently, you think rush - or anyone else - would sell out their principles because of that
what it tells me is that YOU would
it does not prove rush would
