CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. Rick Santorum kicked off his Florida campaign here Sunday by aiming directly at Newt Gingrich. Its great to be glib, but its better to be principled, the former Pennsylvania senator told a crowd of more than 200 standing in a hot parking lot of a strip mall in this town outside Fort Lauderdale.
Santorum dismissed the idea that the South Carolina primary reshaped the race into a Gingrich-Mitt Romney face-off. Saturdays results could very quickly be overshadowed by the Jan. 31 Florida primary, in which hes hoping to reemerge as a factor. You have three candidates who can be president. That wasnt the case moving into South Carolina, he added, referencing Jon Huntsman and Rick Perrys withdrawal from the race. Florida can now step back and say, Okay
who is the candidate that we here in South Florida should put our seal of approval on?

Good God, I thought we would be through with this guy by now!
Go AWAY Santorum!
Glib never hurt much in politics, as I recall over my short lifetime.
Sausagemaking is not for the squeamish.
Yes. And Newt and I are both.
he he he
ping to save
Are you going to post the long list of Gingrich’s downfalls as well.No need to bash Santorum.
Rick needs to go before he ruins his credibility with conservatives for good.
Does he really wanna be the guy who caused Romney to be nominated?
Santorum doesn't wear well with time.
rICK, Tell us about your wife who lived with an abortionist OUT OF WEDLOCK before she married you.
But for Romney’s scorched earth against Newt Gingrich in Iowa, Santorum would be long gone. I guess he thinks he can benefit again and also pile on. Pitiful and not at all principled.
I hope Newt Gingrich smacks the snot out of both Romney and Santorum.
Yes, perhaps the princess should do as you recommend.
The sharp difference is that Newt has admitted to his mistakes while Rick Santorum continues to refuses admission that his fiscal liberalism was a mistake.
OOPS!
That cuts both ways, Rick. It also means your record will get twice the scrutiny.
Tragic. This is no way to end a campaign, and make no mistake, it is ENDING...
No, Newt is the FR establishment pick. We must put our hope in him to beat Romney, warts be damned.
Too bad Rick doesn't have this kind of enthusiasm in turning up the heat on Obama!!!!!
There'll be some serious heat if you cross Newt, little buddy.
Why are you still here Rick?
Pack your silly little sweater, along with your wounded ego, and go back to wherever it is you came from. The adults are trying to have a conversation . . . .
