CHARLESTON, S.C. Supporters of Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum were shoved and a baby stroller was left knocked over after a group of Occupy protesters disrupted his election-night gathering and threw glitter on him Saturday night.
The ruckus occurred after Santorum made remarks to supporters following his third-place finish in the South Carolina primary Saturday night. One female protester threw glitter on him before quickly being escorted away.
The protesters yelled phrases suggesting they disagree with Santorums stance on gay issues.
They chanted bigot! as they were escorted out of the auditorium at the College of Charleston along with at least five other young people.
At one point in Santorums speech, a protester yelled out, unless youre gay. Santorum continued with his remarks without any reaction.
As Santorum entered the auditorium Saturday night after the results were announced, his supporters chanted, we picked Rick.
Santorum, who won the Iowa caucuses, vowed to fight on in the primary and take his campaign to the next contest in Florida and other states. The former Pennsylvania senator said during an interview with CNN that the race is going to be a long one.

Astroturf ping. Thanks Tailgunner Joe.
A man is known by his enemies as well as his friends. Rick is just speaking truth to degeneracy, and they are not happy.
After RuPaul was finished with his incoherent ramblings, it’s obvious where many of his supporters ended up.
Yeah, Santorum is one of those 1%er Wall Street mega-banker/mega-financiers that the group allegedly came together to protest.
As I’ve said along, they are just another group of commies out to attack anything and anyone to their right.
I heard stories from delegates and activists at the Republican National Convention in Miami in 1972 who told how leftist protesters tried to storm the event. However, the security prevailed, and many were arrested.
As they sat in paddy wagons roasting in the heat of a South Florida summer, Young Republicans and Young Americans for Freedom taunted them, saying, “you look like monkeys in there. Hope you suffocate!”
If voter fraud does not keep Obama in office, be prepared for the powder keg to blow! These creatures will riot and turn our cities into infernos.
Exciting times, my FRiends...exciting times.
We can judge a person by their enemies, as well as their friends, and this shows Rick Santorum to be a mighty good man.
