Free Republic is all in for Newt and the rebellion is on!!
I'm understanding from his debates and his website that Newt wants to totally dismantle the Marxist/socialist welfare state, fire the czars, repeal ObamaCare, repeal Dodd-Frank, repeal Sarbanes Oxley, privatize social security and medicare, return all federal socialist welfare programs to the states and the people to be controlled locally or shuttered, audit and neuter the Fed, fire Bernanke, fire the EPA, shutter the federal departments of Health, Education, Energy, Housing, Commerce, Labor, Welfare etc, etc, drastically cut the government, cut the bureaucracy, cut the regulations, cut the taxes, cut the deficit, reduce unemployment, restore jobs, restore manufacturing, industry, energy production, restore the constitutional balance of powers between the branches and between the feds and the states and the people, rein in the liberal activist judiciary, restore states rights and restore our God-given unalienable individual rights and stop the slaughter of the innocent unborn!!
In short, to set our people free to produce, prosper and enjoy the fruits of their own labor, ie, restore our constitution and God-given unalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the PURSUIT of Happiness!!
And I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically endorse and join with Newt in this rebellion for a restoration of our constitutionally limited government, our states rights and our individual rights!!
We the people are the sovereigns. Government derives its just powers at the consent of the governed. Whenever any form of Government becomes destructive to our God-given Liberty, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness!!
I pray that we are doing the right thing for God, Country and Liberty and believe that we are. We must retake control of our government and our Liberty from our Godless liberal establishment and wannabe rulers, overseers and dictators!!
We must leave a stronger, freer, more prosperous America for our children and grandchildren.
Securing the Blessings of Liberty for ourselves and our posterity is our duty and our mission!!

Have been a FReeper since '98--remember the debacle of Whitewater and the Lewinsky affair and the excitement of finding FR via the Drudge Report; the first FReeper gathering in DC to support the House members voting for impeachment (still have the T-shirt my husband bought off this site--and wished so badly he could have gotten to DC to wear); the 2000 post-election night drama (especially when FLA was first given to ALGOR); the wonderful responses I got from so many FReepers the day after I posted that my husband (Freeper 1John) had died from a sudden heart-attack: the shuttle disaster over Texas when a FReeper sounded the first alarm that something may have gone terribly wrong: the 2004 election and the whole Dan Rather thing--goodness, I could go on all night.
Though I may never have the honor of meeting you in person, I feel SO honored to "meet" you almost every day (FR is my home page) and enjoy the most incredible source of "news and commentary" --and a whole bunch of humor and good cheer--in the world!
So--may all the Rino's are belong to us, and may we of the VRWC seriesly stune the beebers of the Dims and the LSM.

Absolutely not. And as I said - let’s all hope, pray and work so that it doesn’t happen.
But we need to be aware of these rules and their potential impact: there is surely inherent bias to a process which allocates one set of criteria to certain states and a different one to others. Winning Texas and Georgia by 30% of the vote each will give you a net advantage of 60-70 delegates. Winning Calfornia and NY by 30 votes apiece will give you a net gain of 267.

They really need to change their name to Weasel News.
But let's not forget Newt wants congress in on this as well and He knows without them things will simply get "stuck"...and we need it to go as smooth as possible, as quickly as possible... so we have to vote on the local levels as well and get out Senator's and Representative's positioned where they can be "with" Newt as well.
I think allot of the public is showing they could care less how the media spins these elections...they ARE listening to the candidates...Iowa showed that when Santorum rose, though Newt would have taken it had Romney not hammered him with ads etc.... And they showed it again by S.C. bringing it home for Newt...despite the attempt to take him out.
Romney's got scads of money..and now you can bet the Press is going to go hard after Newt...along with Romney. So for me it means the "people" have to step up with their money and their mouth in talking up Newt...and Jim's put out the call.
This isn't just an election to vote or not for a candidate...it's an election for or against our very country surviving as free... or under Marxist/fascist/progressive/communist rule...that is the bottom line. How much is it worth to me? I'm sending Newt money and I'm sending money to FR..and more to come for both. My freedom is worth it and then some....I can't fight with a gun but I can fight with my purse.
