Good morning. The snow is melting and the temp is a balmy 37*.

I trust it’s quieter around your hose today. ;>)

All we can do is pray for wisdom and guidance, and for God's will in everything, and then trust the rest to Him.

Yep! We'll know more after today. If Santorum doesn't do well, it could be over for him.

“I think Newt will run a much more effective campaign than McCain. He will expose Obama.”

Plus, Gingrich wants to win. Whereas, McCain wanted Obama to win.

Then why was Newt pushing for the public mandate?

See, this is what I don’t get. How does it benefit him to collaborate with the Democrats in selling out our freedoms?

“Santorum’s views on individualism are diametrically opposed to Reagan’s”

All great change in America begins at the dinner table.

- Reagan

Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged.

- Reagan.

I favor the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and it must be enforced at gunpoint if necessary.

- Reagan.

If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.

- Reagan

Let us not forget who we are. Drug abuse is a repudiation of everything America is.

- Reagan

There are no easy answers’ but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.

- Reagan

We might come closer to balancing the Budget if all of us lived closer to the Commandments and the Golden Rule.

- Reagan

Within the covers of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face.

"He was 19, he was an adult when he married Jackie. Young, sure, but still old enough to get legally married."

Yes..and how old was his "teacher" that he married? I don't care how cute people think it is when older women marry boys and teens. I have sons..women can mess up a guys idea of love..sometimes for life if they are manipulative enough.

I think this mess of Newts marriages should all be forgiven on the grounds that some older predator mess up his idea of women from the starting gate.

We need to move on to other issues. It's time to drop it.

Cavuto is so annoying to listen to.
Always sounds like he has phlegm in his throat.
If he can’t clear his throat, he needs to shut up.

LOL! Careful, don’t get that one started again.

This was your response to faucetman's post to me (post 279) regarding seeking a leader who is also a Christ-follower.

You don't need to deny the insult, you made it, and it's no big deal.

In spite of your accusations thereof, I am not 'emotional' nor have I been 'whining.' I'm just observant and persistent, and you don't like it.

I have been stating my opinions regarding your posts on this thread.

And while I'm stating opinions, maybe you can tell me what deriding Santorum's sweater vest or looks accomplishes.....with either an intellectual or political perspective.

I agree that we are on the same page......or at least we should be. That's why there's no call for the nastiness I've seen from you.

Yes, the “hose” is quiet and so is the house. I’ll be on this thread all day today and my TV is just across the room and I’ll switch from Fox to CNN to see what the enemies are doing. So far, everyone on Fox has a long face due to Newt being up in the polls.

I have morality and principle.
However, we are not talking about priests or ministers.
We are talking about politicians.
Do you think they got into that position by being pure?
If you believe that, I have some land to sell you.
I am sure that every single one of the Republican politicians has dirt in their past. How do you think they got into their current position?
Since I am a realist, I have to overlook the dirt.Because politicians are not priests.
I might also want to add, I feel that Santorum is not electable.
He looks like a mean person. I dislike him. He looks petty and arrogant. He will not come across well in a debate with Obama.
Just by his attitude on the debate stage, I bet you he treats his staff poorly.
He may spout Christian beliefs, but he looks like a mean person.
I just get that vibe from him.

Well, I never used the distasteful term, shacking up, for one thing.

And, by the way, I think you are a little unbalanced.

You are implying that it is more moral to live with someone than to marry them.

That’s really odd. Really.

Yep! We'll know more after today. If Santorum doesn't do well, it could be over for him.

And one thing we can all do is pray for Rick, that he sees it, if that's the case.

Well perhaps you can tell us. When did the relationship begin hoosiermama? He was 19, he was an adult when he married Jackie. Young, sure, but still old enough to get legally married.

Who is paying you to 'judge' Newt? Good grief, ADULTERY is but one of the TEN Commandants, and it is NOT the unpardonable SIN. Did not Christ say you break one you break them ALL. Can you stand up to the same scrutiny as you are doing to NEWT? GET a real life.

“I’m Catholic and you are wrong.”

I’m aware that Newt is a convert, so am I. The Catechism agrees with me.

1605 of the Catechism:

I. Marriage in God’s plan

http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P51.HTM

Holy Scripture affirms that man and woman were created for one another: “It is not good that the man should be alone.”92 The woman, “flesh of his flesh,” i.e., his counterpart, his equal, his nearest in all things, is given to him by God as a “helpmate”; she thus represents God from whom comes our help.93 “Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.”94

The Lord himself shows that this signifies an unbreakable union of their two lives by recalling what the plan of the Creator had been “in the beginning”: “So they are no longer two, but one flesh.”95

Cavuto has MS and it has affected his voice so that isn’t his fault. Yes, he is a Romney guy and was nearly crying today due to Newt’s rise in the polls.
