Mark Wahlberg said today he never would have made such "out of line" comments regarding the Sept. 11 attacks -- and blamed the interviewer for asking the question.

Well, at least he’s one Hollywood idiot who actually thinks terrorists hijacked the plane. Unlike say, James Brolin, who once was interviewed on my local news radio on September 11th and greeted the host by saying: “Happy 9/11!”
The hijackers chose Boston and the NE US. I bet they considered that they would encounter less resistance than if they’d took one out of Dallas or a Southern state. But there are always “what ifs” to be considered.
Had he prefaced his statement with, “I would like to think that...” he would have been fine.
Many Americans have played out in their minds what they would have done if presented with a similar situation. What many forget is the pre- 9/11 assumptions concerning hijackings.
Idiots never admit their mistakes, they blame it on someone else.
I kinda thought he would have been able to land the plane because his body is healthy, his rhymes make him wealthy, and the Funky Bunch helps him.
And BTW, let’s not forget - Donny D. is on the back-up.
Yeah but what’s his excuse for beating the eye out of a Vietnamese man and trying to bash the heads in of black school kids with rocks?
I saw an interview of this actor on youtube and was surprised that he openly discussed his Christian faith and love of his family. I am not defending him on this... but to be fair, I agree that his comments were more of “I would like to think I would have acted this way...” Haven’t we all done that since 9/11? I know that I have done it. I have said that if something occurs on a plane (like someone trying to light his shoe on fire, or trying to get into the cockpit) that I would try my best to beat him into unconsciousness. It is BECAUSE of the heroes of 9/11 that many Americans have become less passive and more involved. IMHO.
Hollywood hates it’s American audience. I’ve heard the way they condescend by calling Americans the lowest common denominator, in true Marxist vocabulary. Hollyweirdos may as well pack up and leave. Any real talent gets marginalized by the LA Communist elite.
He was a teenager when that happened. He’s now a very devout Catholic, and a father to several kids, who takes that role very seriously. He’s having his tattoos removed, consults his priest on movies, etc. I actually think he’s become a pretty decent person.
So it's now a crime to essentially say you would not have sit passively by in the plane when the bad guys took over. So what??? What is wrong with that? B.F.D.
I’m getting real tired of that narrative lately.
apparently you have not watched Boardwalk Empire..of which he and Scorsese are producers
I don't think a devout Christian of any seriousness would promote the sort of ribald stuff they show routinely and they do take jabs at the Catholic church....along with all manner of social reengineering
maybe his priest is Maryknoll
The fact that you were asked does not mean you had to answer.
Call me insensitive but, I think this is much ado about a statement that he did not mean the way it “sounded”. I have to cut Markey Mark some slack here.
I agree with you.
