I typically don’t care - relationships break down for whatever reason, and most politicians are genetically incapable of being decent human beings - it’s why they are politicians. (There are exceptions: See Allen West, Sarah Palin, etc. Also, note, just because Ron Paul couldn’t find a second woman to agree to sleep with him does not make him a bastion of morality.) I don’t think very many politicians are faithful, and I don’t expect perfect humans, publicly or personally. Noot’s attitude is what bothers me.
However, Noot has admitted to wanting an open marriage, because he said he and Marianne had an “arrangement” with respect to Calista (which Marianne has always denied.) He treated his first wife like a cash cow, used her up, dumped her, and used Marianne as a beard. Noot realizes that a “married” family man presents a good image and what people want, so.... He’s a user, an egotistical jack ass, a selfish a-hole, and I’m still angry at him for allowing the liberals to successfully brand the Clinton scandal as a sex scandal and not a perjury (ahem - which is a felony) scandal.

Gingrich blames his infidelity on patriotism.

Wow, I didn’t know he actually said that, could you please steer me to where he said that other than the Marianne interview, that is.
