That’s right. Keep your rose colored glasses on. The word hypocrisy comes to mind from the alleged “social conservatives”. Social conservatives, my foot. Hypocritical social conservatives, yes. All that outrage against Bill Clinton’s affairs, but none for Newt’s, eh? Disgusting hypocrisy.

Marianne is the hypocrite. Ragging the guy she obviously had NO problem committing adultery with on the first wife. Why is it that some women want to have equal power but always find the nearest corner to cower when it serves their purpose? You did read that part about her ending his political career.

Adultery is a sin, it destroys relationships and families. But she Marianne just blurs right over her own adultery as if she was always the victim. But come on this woman does NOT hold the upper hand in hanging her dirty laundry out for the stated purpose of destroying a career. She is NOT a victim, and by her own words and actions she is out to get her pound of flesh.

‘Social’ conservatives believe in individual responsibility, and Marianne has stated for the record she intends to destroy Newt. Want to talk about hypocrite?

flaglady47: “All that outrage against Bill Clinton’s affairs, but none for Newt’s, eh? Disgusting hypocrisy.”

I don’t recall a lot of outrage against Bill Clinton’s affairs, but I do remember outrage over the fact that the media didn’t pursue them. I also don’t recall Bill Clinton publicly confessing his affairs and/or expressing regret.

By no means whatsoever am I writing that adultery is OK. It’s a terribly selfish thing to do to one’s spouse, and it’s a sin against God. However, you don’t seem to understand the difference between repentance and denial.
